New version of 'Purple Zone' by Soft Cell and PSB

#1 Post by Enrique »

So there is that Soft Cell interview in Electronic Sound magazine (issue 86, march? 2022) with minor PSB references here and there, and announces 'Happiness Not Included' upcoming album is due for release by BMG in the spring, along with a new version of 'Purple Zone' by Soft Cell and PSB. (p.43)

I wish they'd rather work or collaborate with new and upcoming artists.

The Blessed Madonna, Claptone and Years & Years isn’t a bad little run. I like that they work with people that are fans of them, rather than just looking for the latest hot collaboration opportunity.

If The Blessed Madonna stuff doesn’t have some sort of chart impact then nothing ever will.

I HATE that. It's an act of desperation by groups trying to be cool and now "For the kidz". I really don't care about them working with whoever is famous for five minutes this week, a Soft Cell collaboration is two great duos from the same era who have gravitas.

Absolutely correct!
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

I'd lower your expectations. The Blessed Madonna isnt a chart artist. She is working on a new album of her own so I'd suggest Neil is writing for her. Just my opinion, but I reckon PSB would bring a certain cachet for her work.

Looks like the album will be out on 6 may this year. Funny, exactly 6 years after Brick England.
