The forgotten top hit 1992 PSB single
The forgotten top hit 1992 PSB single
1992 mey seem like an empty PSB year but then it struck me that The Crying Game was released in september that year and reached nr 22 on the UK chart (even higher than Was it worth it)... and apparently nr 1 on the Icelandic chart.
It was of course sung by Boy George but it's really a PSB version of the song.

Is there a version without Boy George? Either instrumental or with Neil singing? I really don't like BG's voice.
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

It's a cover anyway, the original was by Dave Berry, which is also included on the soundtrack,

The Digifunky mixes are excellent.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning.
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

I'm kind of surprised this one didn't end-up on the "Dreamworld" greatest hits setlist.

Shameless self-promotion but I covered this song a few months back in a live studio take (having become obsessed with the BoyGeorge/PSB version last year):

If so, I hope they don’t drop “Losing My Mind” in favor of it. “Losing My Mind” is one of my absolute favorites and they haven’t played that live since “Performance.”

Boy George has just tweeted about them. I haven’t a clue what the reason for the tweet is though. Also in the comments section is the first time anyones heard anything from Marilyn since 1985

I was about to say you have a peculiar taste but when I listened to LMM the other day I got it. It's a great PSB track and as with all their cover versions, they really make it their own. Always on my mind, Where the streets have no name (I can't take my eyes off you) and LMM all three have a great drive and beat.
