Further to this, let's analyse the previous Greatest Hits albums. The extras.

- Discography had DJ Culture and Was It Worth It.
- PopArt had Flamboyant, and DVD commentary for the music videos
- Ultimate had Together

Probably other things included also, but the previous compilations had something new.

I don't understand this argument - all of the songs you mention were released as singles, which us "true fans" bought separately. The same would be true of Smash, any new song would be released individually and wouldn't be exclusive to the collection. They've never released a greatest hits compilation with material with exclusive tracks, not once. They could have put a track from Lost on there and it wouldn't have made a difference.

Sorry to say this but this seems like pure and unnecessary greed on their part. True fans have all this already and can't see anyone else paying for all this.

Then you're blind, because greatest hits typically sell to the part of the audience that likes a group but aren't "true fans."

I doubt it. Most of the videos with visual effects would have been conformed in SD as was the standard of the time. You'll never get true HD versions of the Very videos, for example, since the CG assets don't exist. They could have rescanned the negative for the older videos shot on film, but that's a lot of expense for so little return, and in any case I'd be surprised if the original negative for something like It's A Sin even exists.

Been purchasing their physical releases since 1985, not going to stop now.
Really excited actually. Looks amazing.
White vinyl box set, cd and Blu-ray set, and a limited numbered cassette box set.
What’s not to like?

All the videos will be in HD on the Blu-ray for sure, tbut that doesn´t necessary means an improvement in quality, just and up-scaled version of them to fit the new bigger image size compared with the original SD size (just like on the Youtube "remastered" versions, not a big improvement compared with the PopArt DVD versions..I even prefer the details of the DVD on some of them).
In the best case scenario, a carefully remaster made maybe with the help of AI to generate a more detailed image...altough I´m not sure if I like the idea of an external procedure altering the original image with artificially invented details...
Only the videos from "Together" onwards will be in true HD... because they were released nativelly on that quality.

I don’t know if it will help but scroll down and look at the Annually thread. Some people that struggled to order then found workarounds.

I would've bought the white vinyl, even for this amount of money. But the official store is just a piece of sh... After over 50 attemps with various browsers, various devices and various ways, I got literally nothing. I hope somebody issued it in the question sequence of Annually, since nobody from the stroes even bothers to answer my mail ...

Meanwhile, I bought the black vinyl from another store (since even Amazon doesn't sell it anymore in Germany). From now on, I pretend the white vinyl is non-existent. I'm equally sad and angry about this.

Interesting piece of trivia: the limited white vinyl of Queen's Made in Vinyl is less limited than the regular black vinyl edition...
