I decided to listen new songs and i like them Kaputnik sounds like Dua Lipa, Skeletons in the closet for me is better than Twenty something.

I get that they’re demos but the songs are just boring. No memorable choruses, no tunes or big melodies. I’m filing this away with Cricket Wife in the ‘won’t be listening to that again’ part of my shelf!

I think Lost is terrific (but then again I think Cricket Wife is wonderful). I think some of you need to get a grip and understand what you're listening to. The songs with "memorable choruses" and "big melodies" are going to be commercial pop songs. They're going to go on the main albums the general public might listen to. This is essentially a fan club release of demos, material that was rejected for the commercial albums because it went in other, less commercial directions. Of course this stuff isn't going to include the next It's a Sin or Go West, it was never going to do that. See also: Cricket Wife etc. These are releases for the hardcore fans who enjoy when PSB head down the more baroque avenues, further afield than radio friendly pop.

Once you accept what this sort of release is, you can then start to appreciate it on its own terms, rather than through the lens of baggage you bring to the table. I think Lost is lovely, and between this, Agenda and Cricket Wife we've had an entire album of music we'd otherwise never have gotten. Add to that My Beautiful Launderette and Music and I think we've been well served as fans considering how long it takes PSB to put out commercial albums.

Lost is moody and atmospheric, a collection of somewhat darker tracks and certainly not a commercial pop EP. I think there's room for that, and I think Lost is brilliant.

I can only imagine that the same fans complaining that there's no Suburbia on here would be complaining if PSB had released nothing at all. Give them the space to expand their art. Not everything has to be a four-on-the-floor radio hit.

But the problem is they don't create songs like those big ones even with the studio albums. I think Fundamental was the last album of that kind of big songs (ex: The Sodom and Gomorrah Show, Integral) and All Over the World (the EP version) was the last one song of this kind of music.

Three of their worst, most overblown songs right there. don't rate any of them highly.

People got crazy on this forum with the album version of Integral when it appeared on the net for the first time. More than with any other song later.

I've just heard Lost for the first time and thought it was really great. They don't sound like demos to me at all but proper productions. The lost room is clearly the stand-out and this isn't surprising given that it nearly made the album. Kaputnik is the runner -up followed by IWF and Skellingtons. First impressions only and no doubt this will change as time goes by.
