I really like the hinted song titles in the trailer. Looking fortwarf to it, good luck! :)

On a sidenote: You both sound very clear which is good for non-native speakers (like me). :D

Thanks for all your kind words. All much as we are so excited about the six episodes we have recorded - we are equally nervous about putting them out into the big wide world.

Thanks to everyone who has subscribed or is planning to listen next week. I’m currently putting together a 60 sec summary of episode 1 so I’ll share that next week so you can have a sneak listen to the type of subjects we are discussing.

All I will say is that it is niche and we do go in depth 😊

Cheers G.

Promoting it ahead of time! That's bold.
I was going to wait until I heard the first one before spreading the word. I guess a few early adopters are welcome.
By the way you realise by posting it here, Neil and Chris themselves are likely to find out about it.
Personally I think I would be a bit afraid of sharing my fan project with the band themselves! But who knows it may be worthwhile, and we may get a pet text from them showing their approval. We'll see how good the podcast is. I find it bold to promote like this here but that's just my opinion, and my opinion is based on the modest post I saw on Facebook that said something along the lines of 'please have low expectations, we're amateurs and this is the first endevour in this field we've done'.

Anyway, my above comment is directed to the ethos. For other fans.
My remarks for the creators of the podcast are, I'm looking forward to it and I wish you well.

Very welcome news! Will certainly lift the vibe around here, and perfect timing now they are on the runway for a new album :)

That’s good to know - we both have northern accents and I wasn’t sure how well they would translate Image

Thank you for the good wishes. Having spent time on the podcasts we are keen we do what we need to to try and help them to find an audience, particularly given the niche appeal. So doing some very limited promotion a week in advance doesn’t feel particularly bold. It’s doing them in the first place which feels bold! I usually go out of my way to avoid any kind of public speaking so this feels very much at odds with how I generally live my life. But this came to me as an opportunity and after much consideration I decided I should say yes.

You do right to reserve judgement. I would be the same. Podcasts are personal things and I find many professional presenters a switch off. So I’m very aware that it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But hopefully some bits will connect with some people. We just need to reach them!

In terms of Neil and Chris, we have done what we felt we needed to in order to put the podcasts on the right radars. And we’re happy the nature of the content won’t cause offence. We’re not looking for any kind of official endorsement. Far from it. As per Graham’s note above, they are amateur and by fans for fans, but hopefully this will be part of any appeal they might have. I hope you find something to enjoy in them.
Woof.

Good luck with this one: subscribed :-)

Audio/dialogue sounds very clear, which is very important and often puts me off podcasts I'd otherwise be interested in: no worries here!

Thank you Dave, that’s good to hear. We worked with local university students and used their facilities to make the recordings. It was a learning curve for all of us. Hopefully you will find the “chat” just as clear but feedback appreciated.

Thanks for that. We are now only 36 hours from release and the imposter syndrome is kicking in. Are we clear enough?, Is the audio the right level? Will anyone be interested in what we have to say?

All of a sudden it’s become a bit real. But we are in the hands of the podcast gods now and there is nothing we can do about it except hope that people enjoy it.

If we get to the point where people want to be guests we will be very very happy indeed!
