It’s PopArt where they messed up. It was correct for Ultimate.Tom Angel wrote:I wonder if they will put the 7" remix of Heart on it this time. Unless my memory fails me they had the album version on Ultimate - or was it Discography?

So not a fan of New York House music I suppose? !stopthecar wrote: Tue 06 Jun 2023, 7:10 pmEach to their own of course.Disco. wrote:Before is awesome !!daveid wrote: Tue 06 Jun 2023, 8:58 am
Before - the least interesting thing they've ever recorded
Somewhere - West Side Story goes through by-the-numbers PSB production
NYC boy - Neil and Chris go all feathers and cop uniforms whilst maintaining their appeal isn't confined to gay audiences
Winner - cardiac arrest at the starting gun
I don't wanna - listen to this song no more
To me Before is their worst single.
All the remixes were bad too.
At least Winner had some nice mixes.

UK Version of PopArt. Also had a slightly different single version of I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of ThingTom Angel wrote: Tue 06 Jun 2023, 7:22 pm I wonder if they will put the 7" remix of Heart on it this time. Yes, it was disappointing when that happened on PopArt (and pretty astonishing, all things considered). They should have course get the most pedantic PetHead to check every release in advance. Let's hope there are no glitches this time round.Tom Angel wrote: Tue 06 Jun 2023, 7:22 pm I wonder if they will put the 7" remix of Heart on it this time. I remember reading somewhere that Neil was so annoyed by the errors on PopArt that he now attends a mastering listen-through in person.Patrick Bateman wrote: Tue 06 Jun 2023, 10:26 pmYes, it was disappointing when that happened on PopArt (and pretty astonishing, all things considered). Sorry if I've missed this but looking at those Instagram posts am I right in reading that the 3CD only set won't have the interview booklet?? Only the vinyl and the CD with Blu-ray has the booklet?Future Lover wrote: Tue 06 Jun 2023, 6:23 pmFrom the looks of things, each disc will be packaged in its own gatefold, so I expect it to pretty much be a slim box set.ChrisLove wrote: Tue 06 Jun 2023, 12:37 am I bought 3CD/2 BR edition can't wait to see the package i hope it not too fat but it's 5 disc

I remember talking to Neil about this at the PopArt signing at HMV in London and he’d just found out.Dog wrote:It’s PopArt where they messed up. He turned my copy of my PopArt over in his hands to look at the track listing and in doing smudged his signature on the front!
I’m still both annoyed by the smudge and happy that it reminds me of talking to Neil about his art!

That's a shame. Will probably cancel my pre-order then. The booklet was my primary interest and I don't have a Blu-ray playerMeebabi wrote: Wed 07 Jun 2023, 5:32 amThat’s my understanding.before wrote: Tue 06 Jun 2023, 11:53 pmSorry if I've missed this but looking at those Instagram posts am I right in reading that the 3CD only set won't have the interview booklet?? Think I'll cancel mine too if that's the case, for the same reasonsbefore wrote: Wed 07 Jun 2023, 7:55 amThat's a shame. Will probably cancel my pre-order then. I've now placed my order. Sad. I bought the 3CD+2BR version, only for the booklet, neither I have a blue-ray-player.

I bought a Blu-ray player just because of this release. £40 in Argos and it upscales DVD's as well. Got It Couldn't Happen Here and Inner Sanctum on Blu-ray and they look amazing. I am personally excited to have Vocal and Monkey business on Blu-Ray.
The future is the present now. Music must be played.

[off-topic] When I bought a PS3, I got the James Bond movie Casino Royale bundled with it. I'm not really a Bond fan, but I was curious to see a blu ray disc. I was stunned by the quality difference between a BR and a DVD. BR is my preference ever since.

Yes, we bought a 50" TV a few years ago that we sit about 2.5 metres from. DVDs look horribly pixelated and dated on it now, but Blu-rays look great. Can't tell any difference between Blu-ray and 4k on streaming services though - think we'd need a much bigger telly to tell the difference.leesmapman wrote: Wed 07 Jun 2023, 4:50 pm [off-topic] When I bought a PS3, I got the James Bond movie Casino Royale bundled with it.
