Geowayne says the possible inspiration for the video is possible the arcade game Hang On.
My thoughts are, considering that One Thing Leads To Another is based on Super Mario Bros on the NES . . . I feel KDX 125 might have been inspired by the NES game Mach Rider.
Here is a little footage of the solo game mode there (without the other cars) to better illustrate the possible connection there.

What do you think about this?

Re: KDX video - My thoughts on what inspired it
What inspired this?

To me it's just Road Rash and Super Mario Bros.
Road Rash, the biker. SMB the sky, clouds and green.
Pretty simple, really. Not much of a mystery.
Mach Rider is a good point, it does look like Mach Rider with a more realistic sprite on the person similar to Road Rash on the Genesis or Mega Drive.
Does anyone really care about this though, to be honest?
It's some simple visualiser videos they've off-handed for someone else to work on.
"Make it videogamey" so there's did Pacman, Mario, a racing game, etc. Space invaders?
Just the basic vintage videogames. Nothing much to analyse.

Prefer audio only, too old for "all this visual".
