Haha..and moaning that it doesn’t sound big and epic with orchestral stabs and cowbells and a 100-piece orchestra and how they don’t do synth pop classics anymore..

As long as the album has brilliant pop songs with big fat catchy choruses then I don’t care how it’s made or what it sounds like. Whether it’s synth based, strings based or made from 27 various sized German built glockenspiels! As long as it has great songs!
Its taken me all of my life to find you

Yeah, I'm not a fan of this new song at all. I mean, I haven't heard it or anything, but I don't need to. I mean, where are the 808 cowbells and Neilotron?

Seriously, though, I am intrigued as to what it'll sound like.

Muso alert: Major or minor, I wonder? Looking at Dog's list, every lead single apart from Home and Dry, So Hard (arguably) and Winner has been in a minor key.

Can't we get a hold of the Neilatron and start making our own songs...?

Oh my giddy aunt!

Best news all year Image
Not exactly a high bar considering it's still January.

(Likewise does anyone else think it's funny when movies are hailed as the "best xxxxxx of the year" before we even hit spring?)

On a personal note, January 31st is my last official day of employment at my current job, as I’ve been laid off. Therefore I am very much looking forward to escaping my worries by watching PSB at the cinema! For me, the timing of the release could not be more perfect.
Hi there, sorry to hear about your job. I’ve been in your position many, many times unfortunately. It’s not nice when it happens and can be a worrying time, but you’ll bounce back, I did, everyone does eventually, even if you think right now that you won’t find something to replace it - you will. Try not to take it personally (even if it does feel like it) - it’s not a reflection on your capabilities, it’s merely down to politics and numbers etc. Keep your chin up, something will come along eventually and it will be so much better than your last job. Enjoy the cinema experience and look forward to hearing the new single, ok!

You’re gonna be alright ;)
Thank you so much for your kind words!

Yes, it’s going to be alright. 🙂

I've lost my job twice over the years and every time it turned into an absolute blessing in disguise. You're right to be positive...it's an opportunity if you want it to be!

Yes, I see it- very exciting! Not sure I can stay up an extra 2 hours and 13 minutes though. It’s currently 1:47am in my part of the world.
