An Atmos version was already rumoured, so happy to have a physical release for it.

This actually has some value in that I believe it’s the only way to own the Dolby Atmos mixes. And the hi-res stereo mixes will be better than CD quality, though I doubt I could hear the difference myself.

I will buy but not sure what the value add is?

Can anyone explain how this is better than a reg CD?

A Dolby Atmos mix if you have a surround/Dolby Atmos sound setup (plus a higher resolution stereo mix), plus the videoclip of Loneliness. To be honest: this is a release for audiophiles (and collectors). I do really like the Atmos versions of albums I have, I am now waiting for Air's Moon Safari 25 year edition.

The slipcase is limited to 3.000, the BluRay has no limitation.

I’d totally buy the album on Mini-Disc.

You need a blue ray surround sound system normally 5.1 but there are 6.1 or higher for the number of speakers you have in your room.
It's a niche thing as most people have moved away from dvd or blue ray players.
But if you have a decent system it sounds amazing. While not a Atmos mix I picked up Depeche Mode Violator CD recently which has a couple of 5.1 surround versions on it and it takes it to another level.

Atmos mixes also provide an enhanced spatial feel even through headphones, but obviously are simulating the surround effect...
It will be possible to stream the album in Dolbty Atmos though compatible streaming services...
