I'm not going to listen to this sample, so my question is - what about the chorus? Is it really that weak? Is there any chorus at all? Everyone except nickname seems to love it, so I'm confused :P
I've been around the world for a number of reasons. I've seen it all the change of seasons, and I, my lord, may I say nothing?

I really like what I've heard so far, both from the 30 second teaser and the longer remixes. The chorus is infectious to me and I've found myself humming it this past day or so.. Dancing Star appears to have those 'classic' PSB elements. Synth and orchestra stabs, a list and a great Neil vocal. I'm with Drico. I'm really quite excited about this single package.

Thank you. I was right to expect that nickname's "it's a sin standard song test" cannot be a good point of reference.

Oh yes, there it is, that classic retort. If we don’t like a new PSB song then it must mean we only like the 18 songs on Discography

Do you remember the conversation between Neil and the backing vocals, like they were screaming to Neil and then Neil answering in a easy way?, the chorus of "Dancing Start" goes in that way. The contrast between someone who is talking out loud and the other (Neil himself) in a easier way.

Firstly, the "retort" wasn't aimed at you... It was a playful jibe at nickname (or the criticism that he gets from some quarters) and not designed to be taken all that seriously...

Secondly, nobody posting on this thread knows whether they like or dislike the new PSB song yet because they haven't actually heard it. Anybody listening to a snippet and then hyperventilating about the lack of a chorus and how boring it might be might want to give the song a chance first...or even a listen. Until we hear the track, all opinions - positive and negative - are pretty worthless. At least overly-positive takes have the mitigation of understandable excitement...

Certainly, one couldn't offer a serious opinion on whether the marketing campaign for the new album is in trouble based on Loneliness and a snippet...

Let's wait and see. I'm very excited by what I've heard so far, but that might not be borne out when the time comes, so right now it's all conjecture. As for the possible absence of an orchestra, I don't see this as an immediate negative. If I have a fear for the new album it is that the orchestra will be used to cover a multitude of sins, in this case a lack of great songs. But that's an unduly negative thought at a time where we all should be a little optimistic, if not giddy with excitement.

The chorus is simple (song title + lyrics) but it sounds great.
From the solumun mix, the song is very melodic. Can't wait.

Even so, they are multi-millionaires. What you might see as a "fortune" is pocket change to them.

You can still access the snippets, if you follow the original links, at least the Superchumbo mix.

I guess I don't have the "special sauce" - nothing's working for me.
