Stay with us Remark... we need the positive role models.

BBC1 post the news slot is the biggest art slot we have in the UK.
And that Friday night on BBC4 is most popular music slot.

This is (deserved) prime scheduling for the boys. BBC TV has nothing bigger.

Arts/documentaries are usually on at that time on the BBC. The main news is on at 10-10.40pm. In reality it will probably be about 10.45pm.
The poster who questioned the time slot has lived in Britain so who knows what was behind such a ridiculously redundant post? ADHD or just short-sighted shortism?

Yes, let's cancel the 10 o' clock news just for little tiny Petheads. Yay!
Good god, is all this negative Nina energy directed towards me? WTF. "The poster who questioned the time slot". I don't watch BBC / live television nor do I keep up with any television programming or schedules! Jesus get a grip! As others have said, damn this forum, so much negative energy, always.
I've also lived in Britain and I didn't know that either...and 1040 is a quite late in my book too. You are not alone Remark.

I currently live in Britain … I know the news ends at 10:40 ish … but still think it's perfectly reasonable for Remark to suggest the timing is late.

Please forgive the ridiculously redundant post from this little tiny Pethead
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

It's only a small minority that tend to be negative and drain all the joy out of everything, Remark. Stay positive.
For some reason Remark I thought you weren't based in the UK and I was trying to be helpful - honest! - G.

The official Facebook page gives more details of the documentary, which sounds great. It is "the first time Neil and Chris have allowed back stage access to a camera team". It should be a really interesting watch.

After broadcast it will be available on BBC iPlayer in the UK, for those not wanting to watch it after 10pm, which is probably most of us.

I don't want to be a Pedantic Peter, because I can't wait to watch this, but it's not the first time they have "allowed backstage access to a camera team". They did something similar with the Somewhere mini documentary.. "Renaissance Man" and all that... This does look very promising indeed though..

I was going to make the same point, but I took it to mean a camera team that they hadn’t commissioned and paid for.

For most people who won't have seen the Somewhere documentary (which is one of my favourite things), it'll be the first time they see Pet Shop Boys "behind the mask". I don't think "...for the first time since a straight-to-video documentary in 1997" has quite the same ring to it...

A couple of nice photos have surfaced amongst publicity for the film, I am really looking forward to it.
Heaven is possible,

Looking forward to hearing those 1981 demos on TV..albeit a few snippets from each song but the Bubadubadubadum, Jealousy and Oh dear demos are absolutely legendary amongst PSB fans. I still remember ‘buying’ a copy of the tape from Lee North in 1988 and being ridiculously excited when the postman delivered it. Hearing those demos for the first time was incredible, I couldn’t believe I was actually hearing them. I played that tape over and over again. Lee North didn’t take any payment for the tape as I was only buying a bootleg. The beginning of file sharing I guess. Over the next year I also got tapes from him for ‘In the club or in the queue’ and ‘What keeps mankind alive?’

Great days!

Haha..amazing!! I once paid Lee North £300 for a VHS copy of the full unreleased 1989 Derek Jarman live video!! It must have been end of 1990 or 1991. I knew that PSB had decided not to release it so I was desperate to get my hands on a copy. I suspected he had a copy but he wasn’t selling anything and never publicly said he did. So I wrote him a letter saying if he knew anyone who had a copy of the video, could he please pass on my details and tell them I’d be willing to pay £300 for a copy of the video. Needless to say, 2 or 3 days later he phones me up one evening and says he has a copy and will sell me a copy for £300!! I probably could have said £100 and he would have still done me a copy..but these were desperate times and pre-internet! But it’s nice to know that I have the complete unreleased film as it was intended to be released and I don’t think it’s ever made it to YouTube - only as individual separate songs! Crazy really, the money I spent in my youth on anything and everything PSB!! Like you said, great memories!!
Its taken me all of my life to find you
