I wish this forum had Like buttons

Problem is, this forum software -through it still has a monthly update procedure- is somewhat outdated and doesn't fit the today needs anymore.
On the other hand, I would like to have this new kind of forum software, but the problem then: would be users acceptance (which problably went zero then, because of "all new always is bad")...

So solution this time: Added a "thanks button" on every post and you can start to thank jasonjohn here on page 1 for this idea...
The button can be found here on the top right bottoms of every post (i.e. edit | delete | ....)

Does the thank you button appear for all posters, Steffen? Towa on the main forum doesn't seem to have this button. Is there some restriction on whether it appears?

Fun fact – I actually do see that icon/button in the posts pf this thread, but not in that other thread. In fact, it seems like it is visible to me in the threads here in the Administration -> Support sub-forum but not in the other sub-forums.

Very strange - but the info is useful. Can you see the button on the other fora - Off Topic, etc - or on other threads of the main forum?

It seems to be on the "Pet Shop Boys Community"/"Off Topic Discussion"/"Administration" level – I only see the button in threads in the "Administration" forum, I have checked various threads in the other forums but no "thumbs up" there.

I logged out and in again and then cleared all caches, but to me the "thumb up" button is still only visible in posts here in the Board index -> Administration -> Support section. In the other subforums I still don't see any "thumb up" buttons in the posts.
