Pet Shop Boys are part of Parlophone again but now part of Warner Music and Warner Bros.

Don't you think it could be possible a movie in the future with hits of Pet Shop Boys. I really believe there is a possibility for that?. Not many groups have such a long music catalogue like PSB have. In fact, PSB songs are very cinematic and good for musicals.

Or a musical in a West End theatre. The story of Chris' life: falling asleep on different sofas, waking up and writing a perfect tune in five minutes.

Of course, the musical is not about the life of PSB. They have some parts of their lives you could talk about in a movie but not so many that could take people's attention. I'm not talking about a biopic, I'm talking about a story with songs from PSB.

They were offered a jukebox musical when Abba‘s „Mamma Mia“ musical became a hit. They rejected it because they had no interest in doing it.

I'm assuming there were some contractual obligations to do more promotion with Parlophone. I don't recall seeing this much promotion since the good old Imperial Phase days. They're flippin' everywhere right now.

It's the shot in the arm they really needed though.

It’s great, isn’t it, and they seem to be very happy to do it. I wonder what changed in order for Parlophone to invite them back? I guess they finally found a way to make a heritage act work on the new business model?

Neil wanted a musical that could be so relevant and modern like West Side Story was decades ago. I'm sure if they recieve a big offer with something really good, PSB will accept that.

TBH I'd think they were a natural for a biopic like the Queen, Tina Turner or Elton John one rather than a tawdry stage show. It worked for Abba as the first, but the sheer number piling in afterwards saw many failures. They might not be as big or well known in the USA but surely a film would be a hit in Europe? Given Chris' superb ability with one liners could be rather amusing, and potentially throw some light on early days. But who would play them?

- Don't care if they don't. Happy with lyric ones...
2. More formats to their album releases. I still feel there will be more versions of Nonetheless with instrumentals/remixes. A VF edition would be perfect.
