SOOO, any other spoilers?! Please! I'm desperate to know more about the recording diaries and the James Ford interview. The reissues thing can't be the only interesting thing.

Opportunities. Let's make lots of money shall we?
Some collectors will want just streaming or downloadable, others will want physical copies, some won't care at all. Nobody is putting a gun to anyone's head to buy any of this content when it's available.

Disco. wrote: Thu 09 May 2024, 2:22 pm They should cram all the unreleased mixes to any digital/ cd releases, there is a lot of them. And release them in cd Box sets a la Please , Actually and so forth. Release the singles from Please on cd too, since they have never been released. Convinced there is a market for it.
Depeche did a nice job of this when they released the Complete Depeche Mode many years ago. A whole collection of Rare, Deleted and Promo only mixes was included.

Well, Neil denied the existence of This Must Be... (extended japanese mix) so don't be too sure they know what they're doing in terms of mixes.
And here it is!

Well, having just moved from London to New Zealand in the past week, I'm expecting it's going to take a little time for my edition of Annually to arrive, based on comments in this forum...so I'm keen to find out what the top five pieces of music Neil and Chris have been listening to. They always have such interesting selections, which keep me entertained for the rest of the year. Anyone prepared to share those at all please...? 🙂

UPDATE: From the silence, I’m guessing no one wants to share Neil and Chris’s music selections in this thread….

Classic...not as much because of the fact that the mix exists but because of the frustration with reading the forum. I dare say that any band that would spend time on their forums, official or unofficial, would likely begin to loathe a certain subset of said fanbase.

As for this additional extended mix, where was it released? I have the 7+ minute one but everything I've seen on this 9+ minute version says "unofficial" or "unreleased".

I have it - the box is kind of flocked (furry) which makes it really horrible to handle without making it dirty, so I rarely take it out of the sleeve I have it in. The track is on an accompanying mini-CD - here's the Discogs link.
