What will be good is the subsequent two/three hour show that does the countdown. First ever radio broadcasts for The Way It Used To Be and A Different Point Of View. Also it’ll be hilarious hearing IDOSAC sometime in August!

While I do agree that this was a disappointment after the hype they created - I expected some new release or something like that - I am surprised by some of the reactions here. So the list of songs isn’t good enough? Remember that this is for the regular “fans”, not for us maniacs that hang around here every day. I think it’s nice that a couple of hours of radio time will be dedicated to psb, that’s great! So what if our more eclectic song choices won’t be played, I don’t think that we are the main target audience here

Agree - I don't know if this was a BBC initiative (I suspect so) and therefore we can hardly blame PSB for it. That being said it can have a negative effect on "us maniacs" because it feels like the Boys are ignoring their "hardcore" fanbase - which again, if this was a BBC idea is far from true.

I think we should be glad that this is more mainstream exposure for them (and some deeper tracks casual listeners might not be aware of), and might bring a few into the "hardcore" fold.

Yep! they have been giving us some fantastic B-sides this time around anyways...they are doing some nice fan service for us crazies so it doesn't always have to be about us!

I was taking a look at the ranking of George Michael and I don't think it's just as obvious as you can think. I mean hits are hits but it doesn't mean the ranking of PSB is going to be as obvious as you can expect from Radio 2 listeners.

I'm impressed that Cowboys and Angels is so high as that's my favourite. For PSB, it's bound to be West End Girls, Always on my Mind and Being Boring in the top three but there might be a few outliers in the top twenty.

It's not a new interview btw. It's the interview they did for BBC Radio 4 when the album came out but they repurposed it for this and it aired again like a month? ago.
