It's funny how so many people seem to want a rerelease of 12" singles. I guess maybe I'm less excited for something like that because collecting the 12" singles has been my mantra for the better part of 40 PSB years. I don't "think" there are any gaps for ones that were released commercially - I am 100% sure I have gaps when it comes to rarer DJ only copies, but those come up so infrequently anyway I have all but given up on them. I'm only interested if it's a track that hasn't been released into the wild already.
I'd love to see a single released for Xmas - Schlager would be a good fit - with maybe a Disco5 album.
Seems a bit late in the day for a launch of the much touted September release date of the Dreamworld DVD/BluRay doesn't it - unless it's late Sept. Again, it might be pushed back for a later time slot into the Xmas season to push a few more copies to those "fair weather" fans like Pedro Pascal and Kate Beckinsale.

They missed the momentum to announce a DVD/bluray release of Dreamworld during their ROH residency.Gabby wrote: Tue 06 Aug 2024, 5:00 pm Seems a bit late in the day for a launch of the much touted September release date of the Dreamworld DVD/BluRay doesn't it - unless it's late Sept. I agree - I do find that PSB (or their promotional team anyway) do tend to miss these opportunities to tie everything into a nice neat bow. Ho hum - the fans are here for it whenever it's ready though I suppose.zukunft wrote: Tue 06 Aug 2024, 6:24 pmThey missed the momentum to announce a DVD/bluray release of Dreamworld during their ROH residency.Gabby wrote: Tue 06 Aug 2024, 5:00 pm Seems a bit late in the day for a launch of the much touted September release date of the Dreamworld DVD/BluRay doesn't it - unless it's late Sept. Chris and Neil are enjoying a well deserved holiday and apart from the dreamworld dvd I think we should all be more than happy with what we’ve had this year. It’s great that the tour has been very well attended and if they were starting to go down the dumper they might think
of packing it all in. It would be interesting to know what the deal with parlophone was about, 3 albums or perhaps it’s a rolling contract?
Regarding the box set of singles and mixes, there are so many and no matter what they put out there would be comments that they’ve missed off a certain mix. I think it’s more likely that all the official mixes will be released digitally.
They have earned the right to do what they choose and it’s possible there is a load more songs that could be good enough for another album if they chose to release new music in the future.
There will be the musical at some point and that might be the next thing that’s announced next year. Also I’ve heard that they keep turning down the legends slot at Glastonbury because it’s during the early evening and it’s not dark enough for the visuals/lightimg.
I’m just grateful they are still going and they’ve both made such a little go a very long way.

I think that would be the way to go - digital release only. They're not ones to look backwards too much (Dreamworld is quite a huge anomaly in that regard and FL albums at least had some content that made it worthwhile), so rereleasing boatloads of physical media seems very "un-PSB".eastendboy wrote: Tue 06 Aug 2024, 7:11 pm Regarding the box set of singles and mixes, there are so many and no matter what they put out there would be comments that they’ve missed off a certain mix. I'd rather they continue to push the boat out on new ideas and material - the new musical, Disco5, another album in a couple years perhaps.
2024 has been a HUGE year for them, and they definitely have earned a break right now. If we heard nothing more for the rest of the year I wouldn't blame them.

On a recent social media post, maybe Instagram, Pete Gleadall posted a photo of a portable studio set-up PSB were using backstage at the Royal Albert Hall shows, so apparently they’re writing new material.

We haven't got the singles from the 1st 6 albums in the streaming platforms. It would be awesome to see all the old singles available in their discography section in the streaming platforms. <3
