I don’t expect one but it would be nice to get one.
IF there was to be a 5th, I think The Secret Of Happiness would be the best fit. Adrenaline, Ice Remembers and New Years Eve could be lined up as b-sides (not necessarily all) a remix or two and it would be a nice way to wrap up the year/era.

I don't think a ten track album deserves any more than four singles; in fact it would feel wrong. It would be nice though to get a standalone single next year with a couple of b-sides and a good old PSB remix, something that's been sorely lacking since Dreamland.

We’ve seen no sign of “Adrenaline” from the James Ford album sessions as of yet. I suspect this is a recording that didn’t fit the main album, perhaps because it’s more of a dance track, yet it hasn’t surfaced as a b-side over the course of four singles. This indicates they’re potentially saving it as a single or bait track from a future release.

Well, MJ's Thriller only had 9 songs and no less than 7 singlesdaveid wrote: Thu 29 Aug 2024, 11:42 pm I don't think a ten track album deserves any more than four singles; in fact it would feel wrong. Every track bar one from Bad was a single.oakey wrote: Fri 30 Aug 2024, 8:51 amWell, MJ's Thriller only had 9 songs and no less than 7 singlesdaveid wrote: Thu 29 Aug 2024, 11:42 pm I don't think a ten track album deserves any more than four singles; in fact it would feel wrong. Peter Gabriel's new album had every song as a single before the album's release, which is pretty daft.

There was only one song that wasn't single from the amazing album Bad: "Just Good Friends" with Stevie Wonder. There was another song called "Get It" written by Stevie Wonder from an album of Stevie and sang by both artists that was single but "Just Good Friends" never was single. The only one song from Bad that never was single. On a docummentary about Bad, people who worked in the studio on the album said MJ wanted to create an album full of big songs (with no album's fillers, only songs that could be single material because of their quality) and they did it with the exception of "Just Good Friends". It was incredible to watch them recognizing that. I think "Just Good Friends" is a good song.daveid wrote: Fri 30 Aug 2024, 10:15 amEvery track bar one from Bad was a single.oakey wrote: Fri 30 Aug 2024, 8:51 amWell, MJ's Thriller only had 9 songs and no less than 7 singlesdaveid wrote: Thu 29 Aug 2024, 11:42 pm I don't think a ten track album deserves any more than four singles; in fact it would feel wrong. I suppose PSB tried to do the same with Introspective and the exception here was "I Want a Dog".

I think so.
In fact, if this song is a single I think PSB (or Parlophone) could have done the right choices for singles this time.

I don't understand why am I dancing ? like it so much. It is the typical PSB song that is reminiscent of Bourgeouis but with worse quality. It doesn't bring anything new and people would say that they always do the same thing. And they would be right. I prefer New London Boy (Neil's favorite as the first single) or Love is the law.

Do you think these songs are good for December and Christmas time?.alexis99 wrote: Sat 31 Aug 2024, 7:39 am I don't understand why am I dancing ? like it so much. Apart from that "New London Boy" is quite boring and "Love is the Law" is too dark and it sounds like an album track but not for single material. By the way, both are long running tracks, too long for the radios.

Why am I dancing? is the worst track on the album imo. Its subject matter is also a bit gloomy. Do we want a single about Covid in 2024?

I don't think there will be a fifth single from the album. My hunch is that the next single will be a song we haven't heard before, perhaps 'Adrenaline'. However, if I'm wrong it ought to be 'The Secret of Happiness', because it's so left-field and different for them.

I dont think on Christmas time and New London boy is not boring for me ( rap section id subliminal) and It could be a single ( Neils first option). Anyway I would prefer a new song ( maybe a cover ) with new bsides.
