- It Doesn’t Often Snow At Christmas
- Always On My Mind
I wonder which version is It Doesn’t Often Snow At Christmas.
You must have seen my post on a Facebook page
No, just great minds thinking alike?
The original 1997 version was limited to just their fanclub, although it was played on Radio 1 and performed live on TFI Friday in the UK.petshopgrrl wrote: ↑Wed 09 Oct 2024, 6:39 am Oh my, I see they've broken out the ancient hymns again (Merry Xmas Everybody, I Wish It Could Be Xmas Every Day, etc). Wombling Merry Xmas? Heck YES, get in my stocking NOW!
I realize I'm relatively new to this scene but isn't IDOSAC a little obscure for a compilation like this? Didn't it only get a very limited release?
Nah nah, It Doesn't Often trends quite highly around Christmas time.petshopgrrl wrote: ↑Wed 09 Oct 2024, 6:39 am Oh my, I see they've broken out the ancient hymns again (Merry Xmas Everybody, I Wish It Could Be Xmas Every Day, etc). Wombling Merry Xmas? Heck YES, get in my stocking NOW!

It's definitely gained some traction over the years during the holiday season. I always advocate for it when people are looking for something a bit different to the usual Christmas fayre.DopeFiend wrote: ↑Wed 09 Oct 2024, 1:39 pmNah nah, It Doesn't Often trends quite highly around Christmas time.petshopgrrl wrote: ↑Wed 09 Oct 2024, 6:39 am Oh my, I see they've broken out the ancient hymns again (Merry Xmas Everybody, I Wish It Could Be Xmas Every Day, etc). I believe it was in PSB's top 5 most streamed songs for several weeks. I even heard it myself while out shopping.
It's a mainstream hit, hence the inclusion on Smash.
