Difficult to argue with number one.
I think that was my first career ambition, to work for the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, based on this and the other themes they put out. I just assumed it was too tough to get a job in there. If I'd known it was a woman behind all this magic, I might have tried harder. (Oh, how times have changed.)
Some glorious memories in this lot! TOTP might have been a mostly cheesy show but they had great themes. I used to record themes off the telly with my tinny little mono tape recorder, thinking that was the only way I'd ever hear great music like that again, and now look where we are.
Never watched the Clothes Show - wasn't interested in fashion AT ALL.
