But it's at least not a Bobby O reworking "played by Elvine" or whatever came out after '84.

There is a lot of confusion because the names like "original 7" version" and "nouvelle version" are just names created by fans/collectors but there is no real releases with that names written on them.
Talking about real facts, we have two different 7" mixes of West End girls on the original releases from 1984:

.the 4:14 mix included ONLY on the Canadian 7" (the version from your youtube video) usually refered as "original 7" version".
.the 4:10 mix included on ALL THE OTHER original 7" releases usually refered as "nouvelle version".

I think therefore that the psb-catalogue site is wrong, as it shows the original UK release (Epic A4292) as having a run time of 4:14 https://www.psb-catalogue.com/weg84pic.php, whereas you (and Discogs here https://www.discogs.com/release/150878- ... -End-Girls and here https://www.discogs.com/release/1693335 ... End-Girls both state 4:10 for the original release.

Not sure who maintain psb-catalogue but would be good to correct it.

I think there is a full version of West End Girls we haven't listened yet with the production Stephen Hague. There is a file on the DVD of "Smash" that gives us a file about it.

This has been discussed before, and it's most likely a unique instrumental edit created for the Blu-ray menus from the multi-tracks used to create the live versions. However, I've often wondered if there's a "full length" version we've never heard that is the version on 'Please', but including the extra version only heard on the 12" and 10" mixes - so the same in structure as the live version on 'Performance'. I would imagine if this version exists, it would have been on the 'Please' Further Listening bonus disc though, so guess the extra verse remains unique to the 12" and 10" mixes.

So.. tucked away in the Nonetheless instrumentals leak is also a 6min 7sec instrumental version of West End Girls which is probably going to be the above. Whether it was created in 1985 or for Smash, who knows, but it's great.
