I haven't got to these yet - not sure if I will - life just doesn't allow for it and when I want to really immerse myself in something like this, there are just too many competing things. It's like backwards ADD - I need complete freedom from distractions and interruptions, and I just know I'll never get it, so I don't even attempt to start listening to them.

I've had people recommend this one, but I can never get it up and running on my Mac.

None of my usual clip grab apps will work with BBC Sounds. Hopefully these will appear on a download site eventually.

I find this app quite handy for downloading stuff from free streaming sites, basically a front-end for some command line tools like yt-dlp. Available for Windows, Mac & Linux.
