Exclusive website tracks

[Future Lover]

Hi everyone! I keep reading about a bunch of demos and exclusives that used to be available on the Boys' website, and feel sad that it was only available before I was a fan. Is there a comprehensive list of the exclusive tracks that were available there, since I would like to hear most of those? If not, maybe we could try and create it right here? Thanks!

Most of them are between 128 - 192 kbps so not the greatest quality in the world but still listenable.

November 2007 - Indefinite leave to remain (demo), Tall thin men, For all of us (piano demo)
January 2008 - Run girl, run (demo), Vampires (demo)
August 2008 - Philadelphia (live)
December 2008 - Jack and Jill party (demo)

There was a vulnerability in the source code for the player showed up on the apple mac, the explanation was that Neil or Chris could add music/demos to the playlist.

Why the heck they don't just do their own MP3 / FLAC library on their website is beyond me. I'm pretty sure quite a few of us would happily pay them direct rather than iTunes or Amazon. This way any rarities could be made available.

It might even stop the Austrian bootleggers!!!

Agree, it'd be great if the forthcoming reissues were download-based. Also, by now those "exclusive" tracks are well known among the fans and largely available on Youtube, so there should be space instead for other demos/remixes or even unfinished tracks.

You could predict the filename of the tracks, they were numbered. The URL for the mp3 was www.petshopboys.co.uk/mp3/[number].mp3, something like that.

They used to make tracks available to download free from the old site My Night extended, Positive Role Model extended this was planned to be a single from CTH.
It would be nice if they could make available some tracks for download from the site at a small fee.

It also demonstrates that thy have the live versions of their songs, so a Live compilation could be remastered and even brushed up with a bit of post-production, like Simple Minds' live in city of light.

Sorry to bump this thread, however, I've finally organized these tracks to my liking, and thanks to cross-referencing with this forum, I also have approximate dates of release, so I managed to create a chronologically sorted list. A couple of these were released on "Further Listening"s in the meantime. The only one I'm missing is the "War Child" version of "West End girls", [removed by forum admin].

I still have some of them as MP3s - however better versions have become available. I think at the time you could copy and paste them from a certain Windows folder / temp directory depending on Quicktime / RealPlayer / Windows Media Player. Always liked these little gifts back in the day.
