Album 16 - and the ghosts of producers past, present and future

I’d like a 6 track album of all new tennant/lowe compositions produced with offer nissim and performed by female vocalists.

I'd love to hear them work with Daniel Avery. His dark yet joyous productions would be a wonderful contrast to the Boys melodies.

Was listening to both Daniel and also some recent Underworld last night and collaborations would be great

A bit of a curveball here, but I'd like them to record the Naked soundtrack and release it as their own album. It's a one word title, after all... It might be a 'learning' from the Closer to Heaven experience, where the OST didn't get much exposure.

I can’t help but think that if this was their plan they’d have left Why am I dancing? off Nonetheless.

Not necessarily so…WAID on ‘Naked’ is a ballad so essentially a different song altogether..sort of.

I'd be thrilled with a second Ford album. I don't think I'm hearing the same record as some others here because to me it's the purest and most effortless PSB album in years, and I really love both the sound and songwriting - in contention with Fundy for my favourite album of theirs since Bilingual. If I were being unfair, I'd say some of the views I'm seeing here look a little like people complaining in 2016 that Bowie made the exquisite Blackstar instead of trying to repeat Rebel Rebel.

Finally!!! for me it’s their best album since Yes! I really don’t get the negativity, everyone seemed to love it when it was released and now it seems to be popular to put it down. Well I personally love Nonetheless and I’d rather have one more Forc album than 3 more forgettable Price albums. I liked Electric and most of Hotspot but the relentless, dire, boring clubby tracks of Super left a sour taste in my mouth. I don’t want another album like Super..ever. Proper songs please, ala Nonetheless!!

There's the issue...Yes isn't a favourite of mine...in fact it rates pretty low for me.

I agree though that we don't need another Price album.

Agree, I rank Yes pretty low and Nonetheless much higher. The Price trilogy are all somewhere between them, with Hotspot highest.

I loved the Price trilogy, but it was diminishing returns after the stellar Electric. Actually, I think every album since Electric has been inferior to its predecessor.

Personally, from the Price trilogy, Super was the best and Hotspot didn’t need him.

Hmm, doubt a different producer will help much if you can't see the good in Nonetheless or any recent album.

It's weird to me. The Super vibe and promotional style makes me think they took a half-hearted stab at Very 2.

But the joy of Very is the demo-ish quality of the musical choices. And by "demo" I don't mean inferior - I mean the natural choices N&C make of their own devices - high energy, clean cut instrumentation.

Much of the love of the Nonetheless demos seem to want that N&C sound.

So if you dislike Nonetheless and prefer the demos, I recon the Super demos would be doubly interesting!

Myself, I think the Nonetheless demos have simply been improved and I prefer the album versions. But after several months I do concede Bullet of Narcissus is way better in the demo (but who knows who gave the direction for it to be less dancey and more janky! you can't always blame the producer - there may be other demos, even)

It’s funny you talk about the Super demos..I actually like the 2 demos of Inner Sanctum. I think the album version is so boring but I really enjoy the demos.
