There seems to be a standard release too, and the image looks to NOT be gatefold (kinda hard to tell white on white but there's no shadow to be seen).

That's weird. I can't find the standard release anywhere else other than the Canadian store. Maybe it's a mistake?

The US one is manufactured by Rhino/Parlophone
the UK one is manufactured by PLG Uk catalog
Also, Amazon.com doesn't list it as Blue.

We'll have to find out I'm afraid.

It's got a different UPC code to the blue (my first thought if it's a mistake would be to compare those).

More mystery!

My God, never realised how expensive the original pressing is.

"We have often been accused of writing "melancholy" songs: this is not one of them."..... Urm, the outro was one of the most melancholy endings to an album I'd heard at that point 😅

Wow you aren't kidding! Just checked Discogs.

Love Discogs - I forgot I also had this:

Yeah, I noticed that too, but I would've expected a standard edition to be announced alongside the blue one (and both are the same price, which is also weird), so it's definitely a mystery. The Amazon US listing also has me confused because, as someone mentioned, it doesn't specify that it's the blue vinyl, yet clicking the SDE link redirects to that listing. On the bright side, at least in the USA, the vinyl is currently #1 in both the CD & Vinyl and Pop categories.

Hmm, yes, I'm surprised this hasn't come with a "Pet Shop Boys Since 1984" tag on it.

I'm torn... Do I really need this?

You only order limited edition reissues when you're drunk. Well, that's one way to Decide!

We already have three copies of the CD. But the blue vinyl is so prettyyyyyyy...

I love the way it says "MOST DEFINITELY NOT FOR SALE"! Ah, the sweet innocent days before eBay and Discogs - as if that would stop anyone. (Although I suppose you could still find that kind of stuff at a specialized trader stall down Camden Market or somewhere similar.)
