New PSB remix of Tina Turner
Re: New PSB remix of Tina Turner
What a crazy idea Tina Turner singing "Try it" Like it would've been Madonna singing Heart. Tina was the 80's icon for women empowerment, not some homewrecker. Confidential really was the best they could offer her. It has stood the test of time unlike her "Break every rule" album which is totally unlistenable today.

Brilliant remix. Sounds like 2am in a sleazy club in 1982. Love it!

Break Every Rule is a brilliant album. What a ridiculous comment. You must get your ears cleaned...quickly.markus wrote: Mon 28 Apr 2025, 2:08 am What a crazy idea Tina Turner singing "Try it" Like it would've been Madonna singing Heart. Nah, her music was too commercial and defined by what was trending at the time. She became a star surviving an abusive relationship and being a great stage performer. Steamy windows was her only album with any coherison. So many had careers put together by managers and producers just cherry picking songs, the one's writing their own music always win in the long run.ahafan02 wrote: Mon 28 Apr 2025, 11:54 pmBreak Every Rule is a brilliant album. Im aware of this old Vanda & Young track (Hot For You Baby), as it was released as a John Paul Young single way back in 1980. JPY had an international hit with Love Is In The Air. Have a listen to the original. To be honest the TT version is even more ordinary than the original, and there's barely a melody in there.
Vanda & Young were also known as Flash & The Pan, with a number of semi successful singles in Europe in the 80s.

I love it, a bit raw, dirty & sleazy.
Perfect for dark dingy nightclubs if there are any left that is
previously Parlophoney.

Really like the music. I'd like to hear it as an instrumental. The thing is the original song had potential to be a banger. This is very Bobby O, which is probably deliberate, but does not gel well for me.
