We visited the John Rylands Library in Manchester yesterday and saw the fascinating “Secret Public” exhibition which examines “the profound influence of LGBTQ performers, artists and activists on mainstream pop culture” and includes Neil’s original manuscripts of the lyrics for “West End girls” and “It’s a sin”. Aw, bless, he never did get that wonky letter "a" fixed. That typewriter should be in a museum somewhere too!

What's really interesting is that if you mirror the image, you can see that he wrote the second verse on the other side of the paper.

For anyone who has visited, can you kindly advise if tickets are needed or not for the exhibition where the lyrics are displayed?

I've checked everything on the libraries own website, and although it seems the Library is free to visit, I couldn't find anything definitive about the exhibition.

I'm assuming its free, but given I'm travelling up from the South Coast of the UK by train, and booking a hotel, I'd rather not get there to discover I should have had a ticket!
