Lyrics on display - John Rylands library Manchester

If you're quick (only iPlayer for 24 hours) there's also a feature on today's North West Tonight programme.

Handwritten PSB lyrics on display until November

It's just my little tribute...

I might pop in. Would be good if the lyrics are for Pazzo!, Axis and Hedonism.

Thanks for sharing - it looks great. From the TV footage the lyrics are West End girls and It’s a sin.

Raging, I was literally there last week and it hadn't opened yet...I'll be in Manchester a few times over the next couple of weeks so will try and pop in. That speech about Left to My Own Devices by Mr Pressler at the Q&A must have paid dividends ;)

Secret Public
We visited the John Rylands Library in Manchester yesterday and saw the fascinating “Secret Public” exhibition which examines “the profound influence of LGBTQ performers, artists and activists on mainstream pop culture” and includes Neil’s original manuscripts of the lyrics for “West End girls” and “It’s a sin”. Highly recommended. Full details at the link below."

Aw, bless, he never did get that wonky letter "a" fixed. That typewriter should be in a museum somewhere too!

What's really interesting is that if you mirror the image, you can see that he wrote the second verse on the other side of the paper.

For anyone who has visited, can you kindly advise if tickets are needed or not for the exhibition where the lyrics are displayed?

I've checked everything on the libraries own website, and although it seems the Library is free to visit, I couldn't find anything definitive about the exhibition.

I'm assuming its free, but given I'm travelling up from the South Coast of the UK by train, and booking a hotel, I'd rather not get there to discover I should have had a ticket!

TIA

Hope you're not coming all the way from Worthing just for that! Fair play if so...
