In my opinion I’m Not Scared (or J’ai Pas Peur) sung by Patsy Kensit — the video and single release — is among PSB’s finest achievements. Confidential is another gem, too bad Tina wasn’t happy with it. Kylie completely butchered Falling, and the demo still awaits proper production to do it justice. AI chatbot suggested that I Don’t Know What You Want But I Can’t Give It Any More was the perfect song for Kylie. I do imagine it's a great song to be performed live by her.

You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You’re Drunk would have been better suited for someone else — Robbie Williams maybe?

Looking back now (or remembering what you thought at the time), what PSB tracks do you think could have been given to someone else? Or, maybe you wish someone with AI would upload and use as an artist instead on the vocals?

For me, his song that improves the most by far from its original demo to the final version sung by another artist is "Nothing Has Been Provided," sung by Dusty, which is in my Top Ten of his compositions.

Depending on the vocal range, I have sometimes thought that some of his songs would be better with another artist. Although "Drunk" isn't one of them.

A couple of collaborations that could have worked... "New York City Boy" with a female chorus featuring Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, and Diana Ross... Or "Closer to Heaven" with the Bee Gees on the chorus...

Obviously they could give something as incredible as I'm Not Scared to Patsy because in 1988 they still had songs in reserve they'd written earlier in the decade. I can't see them doing that in 1998.

In fact I think Patsy performing I'm Not Scared on Top of the Pops might be their finest pop moment. She's so sexy. For a group who famously said they didn't sell sex (and looked completely incongruous in that Going Live! appearance on here recently), it's a glimpse into what they could have been as pop svengalis.

The rumour has been verified to be true. Another rumour floating around was Madonna considered working with Psb after their remix of Sorry was a club hit in 2006. What became the Hard Candy album was initially planned as to be produced by Stuart Price with songs written by Neil and Chris.
