I designed a PSB poster - Can I get your advice on any possible improvements to it
Hi everyone,
I had an idea to design a Pet Shop Boys Poster. The idea came from the OMD discography poster, and I thought I could do the same but not just have the albums, but have the singles and other releases on it as well. So after about 16 hours work on it, it's finally complete.
My questions to you are:
1. Do you like the concept of the poster itself?
2. Do you have any ideas on how it could be improved?
The details of the poster.
The size of the poster is A0, which is 841mm wide by 1189 mm high
The resolution of the poster is 300 dpi
There are 240 different releases / artworks on the poster. All 100% official releases, though some of them are Parlaphone and other demo discs.
Each release is 600 by 600 pixels in size.
Noting well there is a white border around the black border. I dis this as I am not sure if edge to edge printing is easy to get done, but what do you think?
The poster itself is pretty large so I tried to keep the file size small - this is just for the image linked here so you can see what I've done. When I get it printed I'll use higher quality version.
I have zero issues with anyone else printing this out also. I do not own any of the images here, as they are just album/single covers.
Here is the link to the poster for you to look at.

If you know a better place to upload the poster for everyone here to look at please let me know.
Thanks you
PS. Thanks StevePSB for allowing me to share this here.

I would avoid WEST END SUNGLASSES and WEST END GIRLS MIXES, that I do not consider official. Are they?
I would add ONE MORE CHANCE and SERIOUSLY!
P.S. How do you choose the sleeve order? Itf you want chronoological order, then you should move the first OPPORTUNITIES

Maybe I would also be less shy with BEFORE... but, of course, you have to make some selection

Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it.VRIDD wrote: Sat 24 Jan 2026, 7:52 am I would avoid WEST END SUNGLASSES and WEST END GIRLS MIXES, that I do not consider official. Are they?

In relation to the order, I used the official PSB product page
https://www.petshopboys.co.uk/product
And the PSB catalogue for the few that were not on the PSB website.
https://psb-catalogue.com
I'll certainly move that first Opportunities.
The PSB website doesn't have the 1984 West Girls on it. It only has the 1985 release.
Nice pick up. Thank you.
I am aiming for chronological order.
Removing West End Girls Sunglasses and Mixes to replace them with One More Chance and Seriously works as that is 2 out and 2 in.
In relation to Before I am keeping this family friendly. That's why Truck Driver is not there either.
I did notice this and it is an intentional choice. I am aware this makes it less complete but I do need to draw the line somewhere.
The whole aim of the poster is as many different releases as possible and with each release have as many different artworks as possible Limiting anything anything really similar to each other.
The options I have are trade in and out to keep the 240 or add another row, which is 12 more for 252. I'll see if I can find 12 more official versions that are different enough to add in. If not I'll stick with 240.
Dice sleeve - One More chance, I've not heard of this one before. Time to look it up and add it in.
-------
Thank you for your input. I'll go away and work on it and implement as many of your ideas/changes as I can.

This is exactly the kind of feedback I am looking for. Much appreciated.

About BEFORE, I was thinking about the c*** sleeve. And the two c*** mate sleeve for THE TRUCK DRIVER AND HIS MATE.
For sure they are different. Maybevthey are too much

Interesting idea! My main takeaway is the low digital quality of some of these, but it's not really your fault - they're hardly available on their website or any official source. Thankfully, fans have "remastered" almost all of them. You can find a good batch here.

Something similar to this has already been done by Andrew Dineley from the 'Art On Your Sleeve' podcast. Here's a photo of my copy of it:

yes, very nice.
new order, and other bands have all done these kinds of posters.
i have one that i havent printed out for duran duran.
you can go for completeness. or just stick to the main covers for the
singles, and pick and choose those, if you want it to be less.
good job.

the8thark's method of edge-to-edge album covers works really well

Wow, that's a lot of work. Beautifully done. Would look good on a quilt, that!
I never realized how well the Memory of the Future sleeves go together! If you're not too wed to chronological order, perhaps you could shuffle Battleship Potemkin before the Flamboyants so that they go on the same line together. There might be a few other places where you could shuffle sleeves like that but I confess I haven't gone over it with the fine tooth comb!
'Scuse my ignorance, but what's the dash-dot one between Dancing Star and A New Bohemia?
Thanks for sharing this!
