1 (Please). "I want a lover". Although, 2/0 is clearly a better song, I think IWAL would have had bigger commercial appeal.
2 (Actually). "One more chance". Fantastic song, quite simply.
3 (Introspective). Not much to chose from, but "I'm not scared" would have made a decent single, although it would have been released quite shortly after the Eighth Wonder version.
4 (Behaviour). This must be the place I waited years to leave. Sheer class. It wouldn't have been a hit, but still a great credibility track.
5. (Very). "One in a million." The biggest hit they never released. This would have been huge.
6 (Bilingual)."It always comes as a surprise". Lovely song that would have appealed to a broad audience.
7 (Nightlife). "Happiness is an option". Not the best song on the album, but it had the right sound for the time.
8 (Release). "Here". Release is not exactly packed with single material (in fact the only song with hit potential they produced during that period was "I didn't get where I am today"), but "Here" does have a great feeling of euophoria. It would have bombed, though.
"Unprofessional? Us? Sir. Might I with due respect remind you that Mister Vandemar and myself burned down the City of Troy? We brought the Black Plague to Flanders. We have assassinated a dozen kings, five popes, half a hundred heroes and two accredited gods. Our last commission before this was the torturing to death of an entire monastery in sixteenth century Tuscany. We are utterly professional." - Mr Croup

Greetings,

Please - Tonight Is Forever
Actually - King’s Cross
Introspective - I'm Not Scared
Behaviour - How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously? *
Very - A Different Point Of View
Bilingual - Up Against It
Nightlife - Closer To Heaven

Yes - Pandemonium
Elysium - A Face Like That
Electric - Axis *
Super - Undertow *
Hotspot- Will O’ The Wisp

* - Yes, I realise this was "sort of" a single, but in the version it was released in it didn't hit the threshold for recognition on Smash or in the public eye... so I'd be interested to know how something closer to the original album version would have gone if treated and promoted as a proper Smash-worthy single

** - Should have been on the album, should have been the lead single, and for bonus points - Fatboy Slim should have been commissioned to do a remix

Retro. :)
