I enjoyed last night’s show but I felt that having played before some songs on big tours (2/0, Kings Cross, Sexy Northener etc) it would have been a more obscure thing to do to replace them with other b-sides that has not seen the light of the day in concert. I also felt that the show needed a bit more of a dance section with the likes of Music for
boys or Relentless tracks. Anyway a fantastic and different live experience.

Can't help wishing that Dusty had been around when they wrote Always and Hit and Miss. Both always sit in my head as part of their "Suitable for Dusty Collection".

I wonder If the'll be changing always the same three songs or removing/replacing different each nigh..so the setlist of the last show will have 12 different songs compared with the first...

Decent concert well worth the money, but I agree with others on the overcrowding. Although the boys hit the stage 8.30, don’t turn up 7.45 like I did. You’re so far at the back, you can’t see a thing. That was last night.

Wow what a night. Was so great indeed and I agree with many of the comments about the greatness of the show/crowd/sound/vibe. I too arrived a bit later (got inside around 7ish) and I could have definitely had worked my way into the crowd to get a half-way back spot...but I saw many friends and Petheads and had drinks and we didn't end up getting "settled" in our spot until about 7:45 or so, and we were all the way in the back too. Given I'm 5'4" / 162cm these things are always stressful in general admission venues with flat floors...and sure enough I was surrounded by people who were easily 6'. So I really struggled to see the stage. I took some pics and vids but had to hold my arms all the way up. Also I had to run to the loo at one point, I had to tell folks I walked past that I was going to come back because people were very possessive of their "spots" to see the show...so if you can avoid having to venture through the crowd, the better.

All that said though, I really enjoyed everything. Neil was in great spirits and sounded fantastic, which honestly surprised me a bit given he's not sang many of these songs live before. Chris was bopping around and clearly on a high too. Many of the ballads were such a highlight..."Always", "King of Rome" (with Neil's vocals on an echo effect), "After the event", "Later tonight", "Your funny uncle"...I found myself just closing my eyes and singing and swaying to the amazing songs. And to hear "It couldn't happen here" live again (saw it performed at the BBC Proms a few years back) and then "Bet she's not your girlfriend" live....WOW!

Speaking of which, "Bet she's not your girlfriend", "Two divided by zero", "Sexy Northerner", and "Young offender" (all from the setlist) are featured on my latest DJ tribute mix, Remark presents Pet Shop Boys: Encomium 1986 - 2026 so check it out!

I'm headed back tonight, will be great to hear different songs again and maybe get another guest....Johnny Marr anyone?? I also plan to see if I can get a better spot than being all the way in the back. And if you're tall, maybe I can climb on your shoulders

Saw the show last night. Loved it. Many highlights, but the standout for me was Neil singing Your Funny Uncle. I think it's the first time I've actually cried at a PSB gig. Just beautiful.

Some other random thoughts:

- Neil's voice sounded about the best I've ever heard it. Digital trickery or just confidence? It sounded very natural, so if there's some clever processing going on, it's extremely subtle.

- I liked the fact they kept the songs true to their original arrangements. I wonder to what extent they went back to the original stems vs. recreating them?

- Is this really only going to be this week? I strongly suspect we'll see some one-offs around Europe, at the very least.

- Change the horn sound on King of Rome, lads. It sounded like my Yamaha PSR-2 from 1990.

- Overall, I think it was a great selection of tracks, but I reckon they could stick in a couple more bangers. In the night, Delusions, Decide (do vocals on one track, Chris!), The Boy Who...

- Sound mix wasn't great at times and the whole thing felt a bit quiet to me. The Way It Used To Be seemed way too quiet last night.

- Audience members: If you're going to pay a hundred quid for a ticket to stand around other people who've paid a hundred quid chatting during the songs you don't know, maybe just stay at home. We didn't come to hear that. And don't moan if you get moved a little bit as people are getting past for drinks or the bathroom. You might not have noticed, but space is a little limited.

- Thank you PSB. We're very lucky to have you still soundtracking our lives.

One strange observation from last night. I loved the live band. I was obsessed and impressed by the drummer. He or she (couldn't tell if it was boy or girl) was so good and clearly loving playing.

Was surprised it was a completely different live setup from the Dreamworld tour, too.

The fact they aren’t playing Delusions with everything happening in the world, plus the fact it’s a banger, is a serious let down.

One thing to note, is I got my wish of all the songs being played in their full length arrangements, with no segueing of the tracks together.

Although many have commented that several songs have been played live before, these were almost all one or more decades ago - so quite some time. And songs such as 'Two Divided By Zero', 'Do I Have To?' are being played in full for the first time, having been truncated and medleyed during the 'Pandemoniom' tour.

I loved hearing 'One In A Million / Mr Vain' live for the first time - possibly the first time they've played this arrangement live in the UK? It didn't even occur to me it would cut into 'Mr Vain', and was genuinely surprised and chuffed when it did kick in!

I've no complaints about their song selections. They've a huge back catalogue, and there's bound to be different tracks each of us would love to have heard, but they were never going to please every individual. I was happy for them to play us whatever the hell they wanted to, as it's a deliberately indulgent set. I enjoyed that Monday, in particular had many slow songs, as it's a side of PSB I enjoy equally to their bangers.

I'd imagine they wanted to slow it down a bit after 4-5 years of playing the bangers during the 'Dreamworld' sets!

I went on Monday and was up on the balcony with a great view but thought I’d try being in the mix on the floor to get a different vibe

I quietly told someone like this last night that "I can tell you really like the sound of your own voice, but we're here to listen to them, not you" as I pointed to the stage. That shut him up, and I got approving thumbs up from nearby people.

Those stairs and archway leading to the bar are probably a good spot to choose.
