"We all feel better in the dark" would be a no brainer for me as it would feature Chris singing live but it was already performed during the Performance Tour in 1991.

It's still funny how Wedding In Berlin has nothing to do with Berlin but they just added it to the title.Birthday Boy wrote: Tue 07 Jul 2026, 8:18 pmIt could also be Schlager or You are the one, the latter one even has explicit Berlin connections. Or Wedding in Berlin, actually. That would be a funny thing to do at least.leesmapman wrote: Tue 07 Jul 2026, 5:31 pmMy guess: Entschuldigung and Wiedersehen.zukunft wrote: Mon 06 Jul 2026, 10:44 pm According to Mr. Tennant himself, two new songs will be added to the setlist for the Obscure shows. Not new in the sense of being new, but rather songs not performed in Camden.
Many thanks to Claudia, who was lucky enough to run into Neil and Chris several times today in Italy.
I'm assuming it will be one song per day.
The instrumental/prerecorded intro snippet for either night will likely be different, but those don't really count.
2 new songs is exciting. I'd find it satisfying if they did German related songs, but I'm not necessarily expecting it.
Wiedersehen is a fan favourite, and would fit in with the mellow type of songs they chose. An excellent song.
Entschuldigung is definitely rather obscure and would be a fun novelty.
Schlager would be good live with the backing vocalists, You Are The One is one of my favourite songs.
Can't go wrong with whatever song they choose, as long as it's not Wedding In Berlin!

A good proportion of tracks performed in the Obscure shows had been performed live before, albeit perhaps only once, ergo it wouldn’t be out of placenicmtrt wrote: Tue 07 Jul 2026, 8:53 pm "We all feel better in the dark" would be a no brainer for me as it would feature Chris singing live but it was already performed during the Performance Tour in 1991.
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

It would be perfect and maybe it will happen on Monday.
Regarding sunday, I am together with those who expect Will-o-the-wisp.

I would say willo the wisp is almost definite I think they played it most nights in London, part of the ‘standard obscure’ and then some of the other songs will change.

Will-O-The Wisp will definitely the Intro of the first Obskur Show. It doesn't get any better than this.

Joel from The Hidden Cameras would make for a logical guest?
Woof.
Re: “Obskur Pet Shop Boys” in Berlin
Yes because Joel sings backing vocals on "In His Imagination" (http://www.geowayne.com/newDesign/other/imagination.htm)

Re: “Obskur Pet Shop Boys” in Berlin
A very unspectacular, large, black, rectangular room. I recall more good parties there than good concerts…
Given the Pet Shop Boys’ long-standing interest in nightclubs and disco culture, the choice of this venue is an interesting one: in the early 1980s, the ‘Neue Welt’ was a ‘roller-skating disco’, a long-forgotten form of clubbing…
Queer attendees may also be interested to know that ‘Huxleys Neue Welt’ is situated almost right in the heart of Berlin’s new queer-alternative scene: in „Multi-Kulti“ (300,000 people from 160 nations)-Neukölln, around Hermannplatz, with bars such as the ‘Silver Future’. What’s more, in the huge ‘Hasenheide’ Park right next to ‘Huxleys’, you can not only admire Germany’s first beautifully colourful Hindu temple, but also a small zoo, plenty of impromptu open-air parties and mini-raves, and the city’s second-largest gay cruising area ;)
What‘s wrong with over-excited middle-aged Germans? 🙂Drico One wrote: Fri 19 Jun 2026, 9:16 pmthe thought of standing in an enclosed space with over-excited middle-aged Germans doesn't really…
P.S.: I‘m hoping for ‚The sound of the Atom splitting‘ as the non-live intro track for one of the shows, can’t imagine a more fitting one for Berlin

There is an extra pair of keyboards next to the drums set, I don't recall if there was one in London ?
