Heard “I Want a Dog” in a cafe the other day which was pretty random. Also heard “Love Etc” at Costa Coffee recently.

I wouldn’t have minded that! Best I could do today was West End girls in Marks and Sparks. (No, I didn’t steal any clothes!)
For your own good, call me tonight.

A few years ago, in the streets of a small town in the center of France. It was during a music festival that happens there each summer. My sister, my small niece and I were wandering the crowded streets, and there were bands playing music everywhere
.
We stopped to listen to a brass band that played really groovy arrangements of pop hits. They were properly funky, with great brass and rythm section arrangements (They even had a drummer with a full kit and a percussionist)
They played songs like Get Lucky or Wanna Be Startin' Something, and it was perfect and happy and people were dancing and singing in the street (including us).

And then they launched into Go West.
And it was horrible.
They absolutely butchered this one. Oh dear.

Not a song, but I didn't want to create a whole new thread, so perhaps this can be extended to seeing PSB out of context also. Presumably due to the release of The Odyssey, my local indie cinema is showing Christopher Nolan's very first film, Following, made for a budget of around US$6000 in 1998. Watching the movie, who should I see...

The full movie (70 mins) is on YouTube.

I liked that movie a lot. Didn't notice PSB when I saw it...

At a funeral. Not as part of the service but whilst waiting for the procession to arrive It’s Alright came on the radio from a nearby office.
