The smell of solder, a mutual interest in much of the same music, and (shall we say?) a shared overall sensiblity - yes the anniversary of Chris and Neil's first encounter has come round again.

So it is! Happy Petshopboysday to all!

And thanks for using the word "solder" - it always makes my engineering eye twitch when Neil says "weld".

The next release could be a 2 disc set:

Weld
Solder, the remixes

Could it be that dark techno album?

I hope the chap who sorted Neil's speakers gets some recognition in the future. It would be awful if he were forever known as the unknown solderer...

I suppose it’s all in a state of flux. :shifty:

Flux, their new album! Get it while it’s hot!

19.8.1981 twice the same sequence of numbers which starts again with the 1.

Oo-er, missus! It gets better: I wouldn't normally believe in this kind of thing but I just thought I'd toss this prompt into the ol' AI meat grinder. Sound like anyone we know?
in numerology, what is the significance of the date 19.8.1981

AI Overview

The date August 19, 1981 (19.8.1981) reduces to a Life Path Number 1 (19 + 8 + 1981 = 38 -> 3 + 8 = 11 -> 1 + 1 = 2, or standard reduction yielding a core 1 path), combined with the powerful individual birthday number 19 and the year energy of 1981, emphasizing leadership, independence, and a karmic lesson in humble authority.

Core Numbers and Breakdown
  • Life Path 1: Represents the pioneer, the initiator, and the independent leader who is here to learn self-reliance and forge new paths.
  • Birthday Number 19: A blend of the ego-driven, ambitious 1 and the universal, humanitarian 9. In classical numerology, 19 is also considered a Karmic Debt Number relating to past misuse of power, requiring the person to learn cooperative, selfless leadership.
  • Year 1981: Sums up to dynamic, ambitious, and strong-willed traits, refusing to bow easily to hurdles or limitations.
Key Themes of This Date
  • Independent Drive: A deep-seated urge to start fresh projects, lead rather than follow, and stand completely on one's own feet.
  • The Sun Connection: Tied symbolically to the Sun tarot archetype—radiant and giving, but requiring the bearer to share credit and practice humility.
  • Evolution through Service: Moving from self-centered goals early in life toward broader, humanitarian aspirations as maturity unfolds.
ETA: OK, I have followed this one all the way down the rabbit hole and it is freakin' hilarious. Maybe some day I'll attempt to verify its findings but for now I can say that I have a new appreciation for how much knowledge the AI gods have acquired and how roadside psychics and confirmation bias work.

BTW, Numerology says that Neil would like a quiet year next year so please stop banging on about A Man From The Future and new albums and tours, please and thank you.
