Co-produced by PSB with someone whose production ideas involve only electronics. Someone to explore with an edgier/darker/agressive sound. Don’t know who could be but I would like them to follow this kind of approach.

They should get the German Cologne-based duo COMA to produce their next album.

They have been writing fantastic pop songs and making strong, versatile records for the past ten years. They know how to programme electronic music and play real instruments. Moreover, they know how to produce.

I find it odd that nobody on this board has ever mentioned them except me. That said, it's a brave choice, but highly unlikely.

Stephen Hague.
As someone else said, he was at Obscure on one of the nights I was there so they're obviously in touch with him at the moment. He basically invented their sound and I think they could do a great "authentic 80s synth pop" album together - which is what most people (although not necessarily the hardcore fanbase) want from them anyway. For this PSB fan, hearing the return of an orchestral hit in 'Dancing Star' was one of the most exciting throwback PSB moments in recent years!
If not the full-circle feel of a Hague production, I had a crazy idea recently about a co-production with either the German trio of hugely popular afro house/melodic techno DJs/Producers Keinemusik, or the incredible Black Coffee could be really special.

Anyone who they haven't worked with yet. It's refreshing to see them out of their comfort zone. Thanks to that Electric and Nonetheless were exciting and their best albums in a while.

Boy Harsher would be interesting after their remix of New London Boy.

How about Blood Orange? They have already expressed mutual appreciation for each other and that blissed out sound could prove to be a lovely counterpoint to their thoughtful lyrics.

Actually that's one of the best ideas so far. I think Hynes cited Behaviour as one of his all-time greatest albums, and specifically mentioned its warmth and emotional depth. It would be a very interesting collaboration.
