its just that my immediate human reaction when I saw the requirement was that he was being a bit of a weenie.
You and me both. The interview is superb!
But I still think it's kind of like going into Pizza Hut with fliers for McDonald's.
Or being in one nightclub that's handing out tickets for another.
Or opening your Tampax box to recieve a promotional offer for Libra.. well, you get my drift.
Eldrich I wish you would - out of the goodness of your heart - reconsider making your interview available for this forum's viewers, because it is a worthwhile read and personally I don't think it should be conditional. I can think of no logical reason why you would require people to have to register elsewhere in order to see your interview. And yes I know it's
yours and you can stick it anywhere you like..
Brings to mind an incident with my children who were playing with a friend - only one pair of roller blades between the three of them. My daughter told her friend she was able to have a skate but if her sister wanted to skate
she would have to pay. I quickly pointed out how unfair this was, to which my daughter retorted "but they are MY skates so I should have the right so say who gets to go on them!". In the end my other daughter was so thoroughly pist off that she told her sister where she could stick her goddam skates. All very babyish!
Hmmm.. and just another point.. As one journalist to another I understand the whole breach of copyright thing. When Zeus told you on the other forum that he was going to cut and paste your interview to put somewhere else your response was "that's fine by me". I didn't see him ask permission, which generally is a pre-requisite when copying copy-written material. I know he's a friend of yours, but do you not think he should have first gained your consent before
telling you he was going to copy your material? (Especially given all the kerfuffle that's gone on here over same.)
Just a little baffled by that!
But it *is* a fantastic interview and I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to have read it (already being a member of that forum as well as here). Making it freely available to members here would be a nice kind thing to do.

And that's all I have to say on the subject.

Think about it.
