Yep, performing at Lytham Festival.

It came up on my feed. I was hoping it was Australia but it's like the 200th concert in the UK.
The never ending tour! I like this poster though.

They can't go back to normal when they release the next album, they'll just perform the new singles and continue this tour. It's their Las Vegas residency, like a circus that always travels around the world and gives everyone their moneys worth. Why change the concept from now?

They may as well just go the whole way and join in on those 80's Rewind Festivals along with the likes of Altered Images, Human League, T'Pau and Brother Beyond..

At this rate there won't be a single person in the UK who hasn't seen Dreamworld.
I'm happy for those who are excited for more of it, but theres a cynic in me that says this is starting to look more and more like a way to pad the PSB coffers than any real effort to keep the fans happy.
When did PSB turn into KISS? Was it the teaset wot done it?!

Why? That’s not what Dreamworld is. Half of the setlist is post-80s.y3potential wrote:They may as well just join in on those 80's Rewind Festivals along with the likes of Altered Images, Human League, T'Pau and Brother Beyond..
Woof.

I tend to understand how touring a new album has limited appeal from a non-fan perspective but let's face it, PSB live has mostly been a stroll through the hits for many many years now.markus wrote: Wed 01 Oct 2025, 9:52 pm They can't go back to normal when they release the next album, they'll just perform the new singles and continue this tour. I'd almost rather they do a Vegas residency actually.

My point is that it's a Hits Tour. I get that. I appreciate that. But come on. It's now going into it's fourth or fifth year..?? Are they not bored with it themselves..?? Pet Shop Boys were/are about moving forward and creating. Yes, it's nice to look back now and again and of course the "big hits" would be expected to be played on any tour they do, but surely a fresh presentation is due by now, with some deeper album tracks around the obligatory West End girls, It's A Sin etc... Just my tuppence..Dog wrote: Wed 01 Oct 2025, 10:37 pmWhy? That’s not what Dreamworld is. It's not like it's been 5 years of constant non-stop touring. They do a couple of months here, a couple of months there with lots of long breaks in between when they can go off and work on their other projects which probably keeps everything fresh for them.y3potential wrote: Wed 01 Oct 2025, 11:04 pmMy point is that it's a Hits Tour. So I'm sure it doesn't feel as much of a grind for them as it would be if it was just constantly on the go.
Coldplay are pretty much the same now. How long has their current tour been going on and continuing into next year too.
Fingers crossed for another Royal Opera House residency though!

The tour is their cash cow to finance all the other arty projects. Dreamworld still works from a commercial point of view, so the promoters wouldn“t book a tour promoting a new album or less famous songs.

My interest in the tours is now in creating a mini break for myself if I fancy attending. An excuse to travel and be a tourist!
