I can't see them ruling each other out. It all depends on how Minimal does. If it does a I Get Along, ie. charts badly and doesn't revive the album, then there probably will be no third single. But if Minimal does well and the album stays in the top 75 then everything is possible.

Well, it seems that the PSB may have shifted strategies. The Cure and Depeche Mode are currently releasing new material almost in tandem with catalog reissues rather than the old method of releasing catalog reissues during large intervals inbetween new studio recordings. IF all of the rumors are true, this could mean that we are going to get a large amount of material released before the Fundamental promotional phase has ended. According to rumors and confirmed info, we could look forward too:
1. Nightlife 2 disc reissue (confirmed/rumor as to when)
2. Release 2 disc reissue (rumor)
3. Live at the BBC 2 disc album (rumor)
4. Relentless mid-price single disc reissue with a few extra tracks (strong rumor)
5. Catalog book (confirmed)
6. Third Fundamental single (rumor)
...all this fall.
I don't have any concrete numbers, but word is that The Cure reissues are happening much less frequently than initially announced (the whole catalog within 12 to 18 months of each other) is because they're selling much better than anticiapted by the record labels involved.
I think that the PSB are planning to use the momentum of this release to try and shift a lot of extra units of catalog material to diehard fans who are excited and can't get enough.

I will believe it when I actually see the releases In the stores.
Nightlife will probably only have a lot of CTH demos and no previously unheard songs as none of the other reissues had anything but songs that were recorded by other artists.
As for release I would expect, Lovelife, perhaps Jack & Jill Party as well as the unreleased Chris Zippel mixes of Home & Dry and London, the extended of Somebody elses business, Philadelphia, If Looks Could Kill (studio version) and perhaps miracles(full length version) and flamboyant (single mix) + all the b-sides. It actually would fill a full CD, and would arguably be better than the real album.

Don't forget the DVD release of 'Discovery' was originally due this year too...

I'd love a release of their 'Disco 3'-era John Peel session too.... Long overdue.

I'd imagine the duration of the Release bonus disc would be set so as to extend into whichever year the John Peel session was? But then again, who knows.

I think it is rather costly to release the bbc sessions within a close window of time. Probably any peel sessions will be on the Fundamental Reissue (2010).
