Don't give up the day job please, a Diane Warren song doesn't necessarily mean we have to have a Bruckheimer production. Next we'll be getting daft suggestions for people in slo-mo crying, flags at half mast, blood stained fireman's helmets...The words subtle and sledgehammer come to mind. This kind of stuff is no more epic or arty than having two homosexual terrorists joining the mile high club, orgasming as the plane hits a tower, for a video of Fugitive.
It's a terrible idea. It's too overstated and naff.

don't be ridiculous, you cannot compare a movie, documentary or book where there is the length/time to undertake a serious thought out examination of a situation to a four minute pop video featuring an overblown ballad. Making a video, to attempt to flog more copies of Fundamental, featuring peoples suffering is exploitative -why not go the whole hog and make it a double a-side with a cover of Michael Jacksons Earth Song, with Bono. Geldof and Phil Collins on backing vocals, they could even remake the videogomorrah wrote:I don't think it's tasteless. that's like saying ALL war movies, ALL war books, ALL war documentaries are tasteless.
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

It's gotta be shot in black & white.Seriously30 wrote:I think the graveyard idea for the video is rather tasteless.
I think they should have someone sitting in a small flat drinking themselves into a stupor while flicking between various news channels.
For the flat idea they could come round here.

I actually dig that video idea. Reminds me a bit of Eurythmics "17 Again", that was an incredible video in my opinion.
