I think that 'Integral' fits the radio more than 'Numb'. I do not know how much airplay the boys get in the UK, here in the bloody U.S. they do not get any airplay. Unless it is old music from the 80's. :x

well FWIW my wife who isn't a psb fan thinks that Luna Park is the best single on the album by far. She thinks that Integral sounds really dated and numb sounds quite bland. I think either Numb or LP would be great... show that there's more to the PSB than four on the floor disco stompers. JS

Luna Park is another very good song. Fundamental is just an album full of great hits!

Where has everyone received the legitimate response about 'Numb' being the next single? Its not on petshopboys.co.uk.

Not really. It's got some lovely tracks but no actual singles. I don't think it necessarily needs them. But it definitely doesn't have any "hits" in that tracklisting. Let's take a moment to look at the 2006 radio landscape in context...

To be honest U.S. radio does not play new PSB music at all. Whether they release anymore hits off of 'Fundamental' or not it is an album full of great songs.

Next single

There isn't space for the PSB songs in the Italian radio broadcasting. Only few radio stations plated I'm With Stupid, and almost nobody Minimal. Integral would be a good single, but PSB have choosen Numb as next single. It is a great song near to Being Boring for its quality, but if there wil not be a good promotion and remixes it will not play on radio and will not become a hit (but Being Boring too went only the 20° position in UK chart in 1990). :(

Yes, but what constitutes a hit (or single potential) anyway? Especially in the current day and age… Nowadays hits are not subsumed to the quality of the music. It is about who is singing, who is in the 'in-crowd', it is about selling sex and/or being a brainless performer showing their bums. It is not about integrity, ‘clever’ lyrics/performers. I mean, just need to look at the current ‘hits’ atm – Shakira, that other bimbo Aguilera. Lest we forget, in a not too distant past previous hits included Bob the Builder or Black Eyed Peas???

I think Fundamental has a lot of potential hits. If anyone else (read current teeny bopper or Paris Hilton) had released Fundamental it would have been top 5 at worst.

I agree with Patrick, if anyone else released 'Fundamental' it would be on the top 10 of the Billboard charts. It all has to do with the boys' PR. They do not see a big market for the boys in the U.S.
