The new Xtina single is awful. A vomituous attempt to redo Beautiful but with none of that song's redeeming qualities.
I don't like Kasabian though that song is alright.
As for Christina, I'm only into her coz of Linda Perry who wrote/produced Hurt as well as Beautiful. The video also has a circus theme so that's another reason for me to like it.

I love her voice! I have both her two solo albums and the 4 Non Blondes record. What's Up is just amazing even though she hates the song now. Also, I just think she's cool in every possible way. And yes, there is a forum but I'm not a member of it.

I know
I must say though, I don't like clowns. They give me the creeps and aren't they supposed to be sad and not funny?

Actually, their last album was shockingly decent. Quite good, even.
Surely that comment qualifies for 40 lashes, a life ban and six months community service working in Lidl ?
I despise Westlife as a concept and absolutely hated them for years. Actually, I still hate them. Still, I have heard most of their albums (don't ask). I hate them all except their last one, which surprisingly had several good tracks on it and hardly anything truly appaling. I think Westlife are rather good when given the right material, like their excellent single "My Love" from several years back. On their last album the material was just much better than before.

So if a song you hate is number one then the charts mean nothing, but if your favourite is numero uno (pop) justice has been done? It's all subjective.
i only care about the charts if a band/musician i like has released a song..
Unfortunately other than the PSB, my taste consists of the Communards, Bee Gees, The Flirts, Bobby, Lime,etc.. all of whom have no chance of making it to the charts again
I like this quote from Noel Gallagher from Oasis in The Guardian today, and I agree with it:
When we first started we said we were the greatest band in the world. We should have said we were the best band in the charts. 'Cos to me, the world is the charts. I don't give a f*** about Radiohead and all that indie nonsense. I was brought up on the top 10. Slade, T.Rex, David Bowie. If you're not in the charts, you don't exist. BMX Bandits? Four people are listening to it in Hull.

Exactly. Although Westlife isn't subjective. I can safely say that they are the single band that has EVER existed that are objectively crap and an insult to music lovers anywhere (even those that like manufactured pop- which I do, amongst everything else).
And yes, Noel's right. The charts do matter, although with that dirge at number one it's an unfortunate time to say what he has.
