Yes I would like to fit one in. I’ve limited the tracks to the number that would fit on a CD; I chose the Young offender remix to represent that release. Is there a track on there you would remove in order to accommodate a Liberation remix?

Change the Discoteca mix to Single/Baby Doc mix and with the Liberation/Deep Vocal mix there might be room.

Change the Discoteca mix to Single/Baby Doc mix and with the Liberation/Deep Vocal mix there might be room.

I like your thinking. But even it worked time-wise, do you think it’d be a better compilation for it? I think that remix of Discoteca’s a cracker; I’m not a fan of any of the Liberation or Single remixes. Would be interested in views.

Creating new short edits of the existing remixes, like on Madonna's compliation, is what I had in mind. Would be more attractive for buyers, and nice listening if made into one sequenced flow like a dj set.

Stuart Price is an obvious candidate who could do it when he's done working with the new Madonna album.

LOL! But no. I loved the hypnotic mixes of this era. Can you forgive her? was all dance to disco in a typical robot rollo style. L had that - liberate me, talk about liberation - going on. Sounds better with the roof down on the elevated M4 speeding by. Likewise the Baby Doc mixes a few years later just bring back a golden time of clubbing and a whole array of remixes to suit a variety of taste.

but i would like it separated by eras.

like a 3xcd set of just the 80s' mixes, then the 90s and so on,
since i'm not really interested in any of the latter ones....

its just (so) hard to pick and choose from the mixes.

but i always felt there should be dubs, and instrumentals included too..

Don’t forget the Warners reissue project I posted about above. That might give you want you are looking for. I also had another couple of ideas.

1) They expand and reissue the Disco series, each release accompanied with additional “Further Dancing” discs to cover other remixes from the same eras. At his Manchester book Q&A Neil mooted reissuing the likes of Bilingual Special Edition, Fundamentalism and Yes etc. - these could also form part of this.

Or

2) They release a range of standalone Further Dancing discs, each aligned to a studio album. This series would ultimately replace the Disco series as a more comprehensive collection of their remix work.

I've always preferred that remix to the Trip-O-Matic one.
