Press release:
Forty years after the release of their 1986 debut album Please, Pet Shop Boys will perform five intimate live shows in April 2026 at London’s Electric Ballroom.Entitled Obscure Pet Shop Boys, and in contrast to the duo’s Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live tour, the new shows will see PSB perform a setlist featuring only non-single album tracks and B-sides from across their acclaimed career – many being performed live for the first time – making it a very special event for fans.Pet Shop Boys commented: “We are very excited at the prospect of going deeper into our song catalogue in these shows and giving album tracks, B-sides and fan favourites a chance to be heard live.”Ticket details for the five shows, which will run from 6-10 April, will be announced shortly. The 8 April show will be a benefit concert in aid of the charity War Child.

I'm going to do everything I can not to get spoilers for the set list before I see it live (just as I did with 'Dreamworld'). Want it all to be a suprise on the night (assuming I get tickets)!

What do we think they mean by "fan favourites", given they also mention "non-single album tracks" and "b-sides" - does that mean other non-album/single tracks, or maybe they will play a couple of singles under the "fan favourite" category?

If the boys put this to a vote for the setlist..I hope people vote for ‘One of the Crowd’ as opposed to Paninaro..we need totally unheard of songs!!

What is the capacity for the venue and combined ticket sales available? Not a huge number I imagine...

I fear folk will miss out by rich fans multiple-dipping or even worse, boneheaded casuals buying tickets just cos they saw them at a festival and well surely they'll play West End Girls and Go West anyway...

I wonder if they'll revisit any B-sides or album tracks they've played live before, or have a strict criteria of only doing songs they've never played live.

I count about 120 B-sides (including EP tracks), so there's plenty to choose from. I'm hoping for more B-sides than album tracks, personally.

From memory, these are the previously performed B-sides:

'Paninaro' (multiple tours);
'We All Feel Better In The Dark', 'Losing My Mind', 'Your Funny Uncle' (Performance)
'Some Speculation', 'The Truck Driver And His Mate', 'Friendly Fire' (Somewhere)
'Disco Potential', 'Sexy Northerner' (Release)
'No Time For Tears' (Battleship Potemkin)
'We're The Pet Shop Boys' (Cubism)
'Do I Have To?', 'My Girl', 'Viva La Vida/Domino Dancing' ('Pandemonium')
'I Get Excited', 'Fugitive' (Electric)
'In The Night' (Inner Sanctum)

Any I've missed?

Anyone want to delve into listing all the album tracks they've already played live?
