I want to complain, no matter where it finally goes. Please if someone finds an email to do it tell it here.

This f***ing sucks...what, did moscow not happen???

It sucks i know, though i put it down to Nelly's terrible vocal performance and him forgetting the lyrics in Always on my mind and Go West, maybe they didn't want it to be broadcast...?

that's what i'm thinking...maybe PSB didn't want it to be available...perhaps that wouldn't be in the spirit of things

Ouch, I don´t see that as a reason to act that way.

he forgot the lyrics? I do remember in go west it seemed he let the crowd sing a line, instead of him.maybe it just appeared he forgot the line.

Neil missed the words only in 'Always On My Mind'. He was looking at the crowd, obviously nervous at first , that's why his voice sounded a bit constrained. Later everything went much better.
At 'Go west' he welcomed the crowd to sing a line, but people didn't know English so well.

Time after time he said short frazes in Russian such as "Dobry vecher Moskva"(Good evening Moskow), and apologized "I don't speak Russian so I'll speak English". It was very touching, another wouldn't bother. Thanks very much to Neil!
Honestly I doubted that people who were wild merry making while our rock bands performed would accept the PSB so warm, I heard some people arguing how many are the Pet Shop Boys or do they sing together or one of them, but to my surprise practically noone went away.

What else I remember
- before Suburbia Neil said with dignity "This is where I came from"
- Domino Dansing was introduced as a 'gentle song'
- I looked at watch when they turned the lights on and came to the stage for the second time to play 'It's a sin' . It was more than 11.00. So the consert was going an hour or even more. In the end everyone seemed pleased and even rockers went away peaceful.

PS.
The concert was not on the red Square itself, it was on the Vasilyevsky quay of Moscow-river, at the back side of Blessed Vasiliy's Cathedral. Although it doesn't matter.

I managed to get Domino dancing on 'Realtime' and Go West on 'Quicktime' and it's FAB to be able to see at last what went on in Moscow :yeah: Way to go boys......they looked happy and the crowd loved them. Neil's pitch etc. didn't seem to matter.
Back to Trafalgar.........
