I don't really mind the idea of them being in a PSB vid as such, although depending on what and how it does smack of desperation and band wagon jumping a little. Would work well as another Comic Relief record I think.

The article in the Sun itself (a colleague had to show it me) is bad. Really badly written by someone who wants to pigeon hole all PSB fans. It amazes me anyone actually reads that comic...

perhaps PSB will not be in it. If it just features Matt & Dave i think it could keep everyone happy.

Oh dear... "pink pound brigade"? "use of slinky PVC outfits"? "musclebound blokes decked out in VILLAGE PEOPLE-style outfits"?!

Bloody hell, IF any of this is true, granted speculation is rife considering the 'source' (hah!), then this is beyond cringeworthy. Please pass the bucket.

I'll hate that video in that case!!!
We haven't seen any new PSB videos for a year and a half and now I want to see Neil and Chris not David and Matt instead of them. I'd be glad to see them all in the video but not only Matt and David!

Btw, could anyone please tell me what Little England is about?

It's a TV comedy show in the UK with sketches where Walliams and Lucas impersonate (as in dress up, mimic etc.) as various characters et al.

It is supposed to be oh-so-funny but is mostly tacky and gross. In short, it is crap (to be polite).

Did you see the caption under the pic of Neil and Chris?

"Camp band ... The Pet Shop Boys"

I don't know whether to cringe or laugh.

I hope "Lou" and "Andy" do not appear in the video as they are my least fav characters. Also IF true it seems a tad desperate!

Don't agree with you Steve, Neil and Chris have been friends with Matt and David long before little britain was on tv. Not sure if it will be a "gay" video - I'd like to think that we would see most of the characters during the video. The two men in the shop would be good - One behind the counter with a keyboard and the other just miming deadpan to the camera.

It is a fab idea from the boys and I hope we can lose all this "pink pound"crap and "camp" rubbish. Mind you it was written by some idiot in the sun so we shouldn't take too much notice.

Sorry but I think its a great idea,

At the moment Walliams and Lucas are MASSIVE. They have one hell of a hit show (9.5 MILLION viewers), are always in the press.

What better way to promote the first single from your first "proper" album for 5 years. It will guarantee a lot of coverage which can only be a good thing.
Yes i can't think of a better way to promote there come back.

Not saying i'm big fan of Little Britain i'm not, find it a bit overrated myself but it's the biggest thing in UK right now and it only can help.

Hope PSB are in the video in a cool way and let them 2 do the silly things.

You'd rather there be another detailing the exploits of rodents on London's Underground lines?

The thing that bugs me most about the article (besides all the 'camp' references) is that they make it sound like Neil and Chris were desperate to get Lucas and Walliams. We all know how big of fans they are, especially Walliams. I would dare say that if they did ask, it didn't take much persuading.

Anyway, I have a bad feeling LB is about to 'jump the shark.' It's oversaturating the market. By the time the video is released, the third series will have aired, the tour will STILL be going on, there's also a supposed Christmas single, not to mention the countless merchandise. I really feel that people will start losing interest after Christmas time. I mean, I hope not, but I just feel it's inevitable at the moment.

Disagree. Not many people outside your "beer drinking football 'Sven Goran hater' country  that does even know this program or persons. I don't

again

You'd be surprised. Moving to Amsterdam and living in the international student dorms, the thing that I couldn't believe was everyone, upon seeing my Little Britain DVDs, wanted to borrow them as they'd seen an episode or two and wanted to see the whole thing. I'm talking people from Spain, Greece, Iceland, Norway, Mexico and fellow Americans. The show really is becoming bigger than the UK.
