Fair.

When I've seen NO and PSB separately, they've been fairly reasonably priced, true. NO a bit steeper usually.

I guess we shouldn't assume everyone is as enthusiastic about these two being on the same bill as we are. If I was "meh" about PSB and only a casual NO fan, I might be more inclined to give it a miss.

The sheer fact that I personally think this is the concert to end all concerts right now means I'm willing to pay a good price for the tickets....however, I do still think some prices I've seen are too high so it's even pushing the envelope for this big fan of both bands.

Now, throw Hooky back into NO, and you've got something extremely special.

Agree. I Impetuously posted in the other thread, before the shows were even announced, that I’d pay $500 a ticket. Well.... the universe took me up on it.

Surprised there's been no comment about NO's one-off UK date at the O2 on 10 October. Possible PSB involvement or not likely??

Tickets at the front of the Hollywood Bowl show are on sale for $1950. Just a regular ticket. Jesus.

They've added a second Hollywood Bowl date - tickets on sale next week. I am sorely tempted.

I saw that. Welp... that’s capitalism. At least the money is going to the artist vs resellers (like me).

I am assuming this set will not be Dreamworld - I suspect it won't be -
in suits or sequins/or twin sets and pearls

Wonder if PSB will headline the second Hollywood Bowl night. Switch it up.

Also hoping the Unity set won't be the Dreamworld set ...

I have that to look forward to that in May and it would keep things fresh if the Unity set is different ... or at least hoping a good chunk of it is different
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

I’m hoping the “encore” occurs between the bands and is comprised of two or three Electronic songs. That would make for the best segue between the two bands and it isn’t dependent on the order they play. Having two separate encores is just a waste of time when time will be limited.

Yep, the ticket prices are all over the place. $1950 is too rich for my blood even for my musical heroes.

A second date eh? Interesting. I wonder if they'd consider doing that anywhere else? NO did two dates in Toronto at the Sony Centre some time ago (smaller venue but sold out both shows and PSB sell out there comfortably every time) but only one at Bud Stage last time (again sold out comfortably). It's not inconceivable that with the PSB/NO double bill they could fill Bud Stage twice over I suppose.

To be honest though I'm not one for going multiple times to a show even at different venues. I went twice to the Electric tour (Toronto and Windsor) and Toronto was AMAZING and Windsor was horrible. Not the show - both times the Boys rocked it - but the venue made all the difference. The Casino in Windsor is a soul destroying cesspool of a place.

I'm thinking about the inevitable comparison in the press reviews that will come in during the course of this tour. I'm rather expecting everyone to dote over NO and feel lacklustre about PSB, but I really hope I'm wrong and that it's the reverse.

Having seen both in the past couple of years, PSB put on a far better show, IMHO. There were a few nice things going on at the last NO concert I saw, but nothing that particularly got my heart pumping. I like the drama of a PSB concert, and NO just kind of go out and do their thing. Sure, what they do is great, but they're musicians and I don't feel they're as invested in the artistic spectacle as PSB are.

I think overall though this tour will give PSB some really good exposure in North America.

The shows are seven months away and have been on sale for two days. Two days. They’ll sell out.

So looks like ticket prices fluctuate based on demand and if after market tickets (verified resell ticket) are being offered also, check the above link explaining it.

I would have preferred the new Saturday date as traffic is a bit lighter.
