I don't like when the thing drop during the week, you just have much less time after work to enjoy it, especially when you love the snippet and feels like there's an eternity before the release.

I see more people say “to drop” rather than “to release” a record these days. “Dropping” sounds like something you do with a bag of cement. Maybe I’m too old. I’m not even 30.

It makes sense as things "drop" from the internet but yeah I agree. What gives me the shits is people saying he or she has passed instead of passed away. It makes them sound like they're a kidney stone

I find this really amusing, I must say. What the f*** does it matter these days when a PSB track drops? Be it Monday, Wednesday, Sunday. It simply does it matter at all. We’re „privileged“ in receiving these tracks on CD (or vinyl) and PSB probably won’t ever chart again. So I’m glad we’re still getting singles, B-Sides, Remixes.

PS: The only aspect relevant to some degree is when the whole album is released and where it charts; but other than that…

I agree. I mean, if they want to have a chance to place on the singles chart then it has to be Friday because they'll get a whole week of streaming and physical sales. But as they're unlikely to chart anymore it's all about maximising the chance they'll get noticed by casual fans. A Wednesday (or Thursday) is late enough in the week, and it gets a jump on the mass of songs that are released on a Friday.

Message was approved and therefore not displayed in real time. I'm actually an "old" member but for some reason could not loggin with my regular account since a few days. I didn't receive the password reset message (also checked my spambox). Anyway, I wrote to the forum admin for support and meanwhile created a new account.
