This might help answer the question about the quantities...the "full set" was shipped as two separate pieces according to my shipping confirmation.

There's lots of limited edition stuff that isn't numbered. Some of which doesn't even state how many were produced. I'm not really in it for that to be honest.

OK, first impressions on the teaset - Zukunft's photos certainly are as indicative of what the set looks like as anything, so not going to add more here.

The boxes are simple hard card design with a magnetic seal, and inside it a VERY stiff foam to keep everything intact.
The design on the china was actually better than I was expecting, after having looked at the online images and making of video. I was concerned that the "Back to Mine" images of Neil and Chris with their white lines would look a bit odd against the more full silhouette images of the design, but they look really lovely actually.

The china pieces themselves are surprisingly weighty. I expected something a bit more "fragile" to the touch, but these have some heft and the design is quite "chunky". We're not talking "ceramic mug" chunky, but we're also not talking "grandma's antique teacup and saucer" delicacy either. My wife was disappointed and actually commented that she thought they weren't actually bone china at all because of this (so might have to do some testing later!). I agree that it wasn't what I was expecting, but I'll do some further inspections - when I received it from DHL it was suffering from severe cold due to the trans Atlantic flight it's had in the past 48 hours or so, so it just felt like holding an ice-cube frankly.

Overall I'm happy with it - it'll be fun to use, and a nice memento (as already indicated in this thread, a PSB teaset will hold some personal meaning to me).

Only time will tell if it's a collectible investment in the long term, or yet another piece of tat that my kids will ultimately have to cleanse once I'm gone - I wont be here for that, so let's enjoy it while it lasts!

So I’ll confess to buying this, and having just opened the boxes… it’s actually bloody marvelous. I fully understand those who think a pop group shouldn’t expand its merch line this way, but it’s actually a nice, high quality set that looks great in person.
