While there’s nothing to complain about with this release, my preference would have been to have the no narration version as the second vinyl and perhaps a four LP Vinyl Factory version with the standard version, no narration, instrumental, and original demos.

And also, Neil has made it very clear in interviews that all proper PSB album titles will only be one word.
The only album that doesn't is Inner sanctum (yes it's a live Blu-ray but it's also a live CD)
Well Inner Sanctum is a "proper" album yes, but tbe one word rule is for studio album releases.
If that's so then why is every other album and dvd too (studio, live, compilation) only one word? Anyway it makes the track Inner sanctum one of only three PSB albums to have a song with the same title, five if you include C2H and A man from the future.

The OS is tweaking out a bit. I couldn't get them to ship the shirt or book to Canada, but when I do try this happens.

Ummm, maybe let's not press BUY too hastily!

Frantically searching for the cheapest option for the bluray today.... Finally settled for the OS and the price in € (€27.99), with "only" €7.99 p&p incl all fees, hoping that they would not mess up the IOSS thing (the site's disclaimer was not very reassuring though). Wanted to add the 2CD but that was more expensive (€23.99) than in my local record store, so no saving there.

So I went to their (local store Kroese) website to preorder the 2CD for €22.99, only to see that the bluray was now also listed there for only €24.99! So cancelled the OS order (sent email, with prompt reply and PayPal refund) and ordered the bluray, 2CD and single vinyl from my local store

Saving money, annoying fees, dealing with fee refunds, and shipment delays. Plus supporting my brick and morter record shop

The 2LP is nice but I can do without, not a completist. Also don't have the C2H, Potemkin and Most Beautiful Thing vinyls. If it is available on sale I will buy it (like the Nonetheless deluxe LP). Can also do without the slipcase for the BDA.

Confusingly, their announcement of the BBC premiere of this new, recorded version mentions a Manchester Grammar School choir, yet the latest announcement of the physical formats doesn't even mention a choir and it's not stated on the cover either among the other performers. This leads me to believe that the choir's role has been significantly reduced in this revised recording. In my view, the less of the Broadway musical style vocals of the Proms version and the more of Neil's beautiful vocals the better. The only element where the choir really adds something vital I'd miss if it were left out, is the wordless part in 'He dreams of machines' and its reprise in the title track.
The choirboys sing on 4 tracks according to several press articles. I guess they just didn't merit top billing on the front cover.
