Sorry, I'm confused. You suggested there weren't enough fans who would buy the promo CDs but that's just clearly not true. They're not pressed in nearly the quantity as official singles and there are enough people who buy those.

Clearly there is greater fan demand than the number of promos available; thus those fans who buy more than one copy are being greedy.

I mentioned about there not being enough fans (due to the chart positions, sarcastically as you might have read my smilie). The majority of fans (who don't collect) wouldn't buy a promo and if they did, they probably wouldn't feel the need to purchase the commercial release.

But, if you're a collector like me, then you should support the Boys all the way, buy as much of everything they release (I don't exactly purchase everything and doubt I'll be able to).

Since the discussion assumed another direction, that's my point of view:

When I talk about the Boys I buy everything they release.

However, when it comes to another artist the remixes on the single is one more reason to buy it.

Plus, if they already paid for those remixes and if there's enough space on the CD, why not including them (or some of them) on oficial release?

like me, one to keep and one to play
I just put mine on my iPod and play that. I also burn a copy to CD for backup plays anyway. Buying two copies of a limited release most fans can't find a first copy of is just greedy.
You're obviously new here if you expect any kind of fan solidarity from such people. They usually buy more like 6 or 7 copies and sell them at huge overprices on Ebay - wait and see.

I've already tried to sign up for one, but it appears (as mentioned before in the thread) that the company only deliver to Swedish addresses. To prove that you are swedish you have to put your Swedish personal number in (i guess National security number or something).

I think it's pants they don't deliver world-wide - but I'm sure they'll all start turning up on ebay soon

I think the remixers fee may be based on whether it is a commerical release or a promo only one.

It is.
Anyway, they are selling the remixes on Digital Downloads.
